        • I played it today,I can't believe the Keeper's Diary Survived the Mansion Incident.I was like holy shit.plus tried it on hard mode sofar and you get to fight one of the Guardian Of Insanity in the mansion. It shows up right after Jill plays the piano.Plus I also was amazed theyy added the Pre-Rendered Syle Camera as an easter egg.Capcom did a good job.

            • There are a lot of random (or just changing?) elements in Lost in Nightmares.

I'm not entirely sure what the triggers are.
But the first two times that I played through it, I only got pistols and a shotgun in my arsenal.
The next three times I found the machine pistol and shotgun. And I know I didn't miss the machine pistol before, 'cause I initially got my shotguns from the same spot (above the dining room)

Last time I played through it (with my brother) I found a shotgun, machine pistol and a rifle.

I also only got the bastard to spawn in the mansion on my first Professional run (but not on veteran), but when I was playing with my brother we got 'em in on Veteran.

              • Erm...i'm not sure how to say this...but the emblem thing...it might not be over!

                • It's not impossible, but I think it's unlikely... during the 10-or-so times I've played through it, I've yet to see the emblems move/change. They've always been in the same spots for me. They're almost like the only constant I've seen in the entire thing

Come to think of it... I've yet to play through LIN on Normal...

                  • I was prepared to just think i'd been imagining it, but Dave one of the moderators on Biohaze has said he saw the emblem on the bottom shelf before the Keeper smashes the wall down!

Y'ALL THOUGHT I WAS NUTS HUH?!?!? NOW WHO'S LAUGHING?!?!?! BWUHAHAHAHA!

                    *ahem* Sorry...

                    • I've played on normal, vet and professional and they haven't moved for me either.

                      Very strange indeed...

                      • Since i wrote my list up, i've never seen the emblem on the shelf myself, that was the only time.

                        • The emblem changed for me, as well. The first time I played through LiN, it was on that wall behind the gate after the Guardian smashes through the destructible wall. The second time I played through LiN, it wasn't there, but I must've gotten it somewhere else, because I still got the Trophy for it. I have no idea where it was the second time, though.

Yea on my first solo run, I played on normal just so I could take my time and check things out...and a keeper appeared after the piano part. Hell I thought that only happened on the harder mode. I also noticed the random weapons. My first run I got a sniper rifle/magnum, the second time a machine gun/shotgun lol

                            • You probably mean the assault rifle. On my first run I got the assault rifle, the shotgun and the sniper rifle.

                              • Nemesiswontdie and I managed to find all the stars without a guide...but it was my 3rd playthrough after finding most but not all on previous runs. The Wesker end fight is actually pretty cool; I appreciate it a lot more than some of the folks I've played with. I just wish there was more dialogue/banter in-game between Chris & Jill as they progress, and also a bit more verbal sparring between Chris/Jill & Wesker at the end.

Overall, LIN is a terrific homage to RE1 and other early RE games. I'm very, very happy with it, even if it is by no means perfect. Plus, for the price, not only did I get a great little episode to play with Jill & Chris, but a fantastically superior version of Mercs. (The new Mercs melee moves are great!) That's quite a lot of gameplay from a relatively low price of admission.

Cannot wait for DE, which I'm guessing is going to be like an extended Mercs session.
