That's what I'm thinking. He's probably in communication with them during the main campaign. Since Raid Mode includes characters like O'Brian I wouldn't think twice over them having some other character from the game in the multiplayer segment.

Question now is if these characters will be in the main campaign. We know at least four of them are so that gives us a good implication the others will as well.

Also is it just me or these are pretty much skins with new voices? All their melee attacks and special abilities seem those of the other two teams but I could be wrong.

No, I'm pretty sure you're right. From what I can tell, HUNK = Vector, Nicholai = Beltway with a sniper rifle, Ada = Bertha, Lone Wolf = Four eyes. Not sure about the other 4, but yeah... I'm guessing they're a mix of characters, but they don't really have unique abilities like the trailer says. I'd like to be proven wrong though.

Clearly not you. They aren't the most essential part of a good game, but after games like REmake and RE4 I find it astounding how some of these characters can look worse in later installments.
