The Japanese and English producers as well as the game's developers have repeatedly stressed that it is fully canon. Contrary viewpoints are baseless and wrong. LOL

The fact that Operation Raccoon City is canon and contains contradictions is hilarious because you just know it will make pathetic losers wake up in sweat at night. It's retarded trivialities like these that will make this game enjoyable.

None of the Japanese producers have said it is canon, the only person on the development team who has even used the word is Mike Jones. The Wildstorm comics are just as "integrated into the chronology" and "immersed into the mythology" as any game in the series. All non-canon material is. Kawata's statement is the status quo for every piece of material related to the games. Besides, aren't you the one who called Kawata a dirty liar whose word meant little before? In fact, aren't you the one who stated that the producers should always be taken with a grain of salt? You're also the one who stoutly believed that Gaiden was canon despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, based on Hiroki Katoh's individual statement. Unlike Katoh, Mike Jones has no involvement with the series storyline and has not been involved with the series at any point in general, and his "fit with the canon" nonsense has so far only been "you can let Leon live". The game still doesn't fit. His statements are an outright contradiction, and the fact that CAPCOM have overseen the storyline means nothing, as they have overseen, approved and partially written the storyline of every single non-canon source.

Adam Bullied has stated that there was no intention of it being canon when he was writing it, only for it to fit in the series universe. This is the exact same statement made by Marc Mostman of the Wildstorm comics, and we also have the CAPCOM USA marketing staff saying it isn't canon, and comparing it to the comics.

And come on, outright flaming many people because they disagree and have made completely valid points about something not making any lick of sense and actually have contrary statements to back it up? You're better than that.

The guys from ORC are there to uncover what caused the infection, so it wouldn't make sense for them have to grab the G-virus for the government. But then it's Slant Six and it's very likely they will fuck this up.

I'm thinking of something. If there is a spec ops campaign, then I suggest that this will be the "canon" route.

Let me explain : You have the USS campaign where you are forced to kill Leon, Jill, Nicholai, etc....and then the Spec ops campaign where you have to protect the key characters from the USS.

And then, it makes perfect sense when they said you could choose between canon and non-canon. Because I don't think there are alternatives routes when playing the USS, in fact. What do you think of it?

That is actually pretty clear, thanks. So what does the hashtag do exactly, doesn't seem needed to message with?

It turns out that Slant Six did infact get "T02" from the Wikia. However, the Japanese script of the game does not mention it. So basically; the English development members are fucking idiots.
