It seems to be a common myth that CODE:Veronica was outsourced, but this is not the case. Capcom Production Studio 4 did the gameplay, designs etc. and Flagship wrote the scenario. Looking at the credits, Sega and Nex Entertainment just helped with the graphics and programming (probably as part of the timed Dreamcast exclusivity deal).

at least he is much better than the shit villians we had in resident evil 4 and even 5 (yes including wesker) they changed his character to much.

Nicholai is an underrated villain in RE. I doubt they'd give him a chance or if they did, probably as short as he had on re3. And yes nicolai>RE4 and RE5 Villains(except wesker)

As much as people have complained about the changes made to long standing characters in their more recent appearances, why would you even want Nicholai back? Even if Capcom did bring him back, people would just end up complaining that they "ruined his character" or something to that effect.

When Capcom was developing Resident Evil 2, they said that they needed a new batch of characters, because Chris and Jill had been through the fear already, so they wouldn't be as scared as they were the first time around. In order to re-create the fear, they would need new characters.

We have already had all of the main characters show up in a game or two. Seriously, they need a new fresh cast. Two new characters that have never been through the horror before. How many times do we need to keep getting Chris and Jill, Leon and Claire?
