No actually...I simply read the comments that are filled with hyperbole like they'll cancel the creation of the game to make a worse one, that Capcom needs to do things to stop hyping people up, etc. Capcom's sole goal in life isn't to make RE games, and as others have pointed out, Capcom never exactly said they were bringing anything RE related to the table. It was all speculation. If people don't want to get upset, they shouldn't act like schoolgirls with a Justin Bieber magazine, and stop believing every rumor that crops up. Capcom did us a favor by shooting down the fakes.

I responded to the wrong comment, I thought you were addressing the 1.5 thing, it didn't make much sense when I read it back lol and realised you were talking about RE6, sorry.

Maybe you were. :/ meh I don't know, either way I presume people were talking about 1.5 and capcoms development habits in gest, as opposed to taking it seriously and actually being butt hurt about it... At least I was anyway.

Ah no worries then . I just hate reading comments from people that act like RE and maybe Dead Rising are the only things Capcom should be allowed to push. They are a company; they are trying to sell many products. I read from one user about how if an RE game was put on the WiiU, they would pretty much kill people. Comments like this show a high level of immaturity and make the forum look bad. And again...see people say "Capcom's lazy!" "They cant meet deadlines!" is also hilarious, because honestly...look at many major titles that have been pushed back. Its not exclusively Capcom, and obviously companies have their reasons for delaying their games. Then, of course, the same people are also praising games to high heaven, despite not even playing them yet. I dont really get the duality in hating the company so much, yet sucking them off for their games.

I remember somewhere on the forums, someone posted something saying Capcom may/may not have stated the next main story line game (6, in this case) wouldnt be out for another 5-6 years, possibly longer. People need to stop being so demanding. I'd rather have a polished, well made RE6, not something pushed out just to make people happy. I'm not getting my hopes up, since I know the more excited I get for a game, the more let down I'll be when I actually play it. Except for Harvest Moon games. I'd snort those off a hooker's ass any day. But that's beside the point. Capcom's already working on getting out two other titles, even if one is almost complete and the other is also in Slant Six's hands.

No, that's completely false. The special guest was Shiro Suzuki (72), he's a known TV presenter in Japan I think. He's a big RE fan.

Part of me is disappointed after all the speculation. But this is the right decision. I'd rather see a concrete game with the marketing to back it up than some announcement which would amount to zilch after they scrap it and redesign the whole thing over again.

Exactly, I don't want to see another five years of RE6 trailers that will ultimately look ten times better then the finished product.
