I've not played Revelations before due to not having a 3DS but since it's now coming to main consoles I can't wait, I played the demo yesterday and loved it although I wasn't overly keen on the camera, not sure why but it didn't seem right to me

I hate how much they keep changing Jill. Her REmake look was just fine. But due to that retarded Operation Raccoon City, they changed it officially. Capcom is going by the look of the ORC jill, who is terrible.

Her having a new voice is one thing, but changing her look completely?

They need reveal the new stuff the game is adding so people do not ignore it as an old port.


Anyway, onto the discussion that really matters, Jill's face. They changed it again, her entire head/face shape in fact.

Tried out the PC demo a while ago. Quality of the graphics seem to be somewhere between RE4 and RE5's, which is why I'm not surprised that even my old HD 5670 can easily run the game on max settings. I see they're adding a few additional mini scenes as well, like the one with Jill banging on the door and screaming Chris' name; that scene wasn't present in the 3DS version, iirc.

So I downloaded the demo for all systems and it seems the PS3 version might be the best. The Wii U has some weird analog stick issues and has a big dead zone while the PS3 and 360 versions don't. The 360 version seems to have lower resolution textured and no AA. Kinda odd. Otherwise I'd say it's a nice upgrade, but not $40 worth. I think the graphics look the exact same, but now in HD and playing on the big screen. The main draw for me is dual analog sticks.

I'm just glad this game is coming to consoles in general. My hands got cramped up after playing raid mode for such long times on the 3DS!

Not too much longer, I'm excited to finally play this on the big screen. Revelations was the whole reason I bought a 3DS and it did not disappoint, probably in my top 5 favorite RE games, and definitely the best RE title I've played in almost a decade. I'm also looking forward to playing online raid mode, I was never big on playing online on the 3DS.

I'm confused as to what one actually does as mutated Rachael in Raid Mode? I'm thinking it may be like Agent Hunt mode perhaps? I can't imagine what else would work that isn't downright silly.

Oh, here we go again with pre order bonusses. Honestly, besides the free copy of Lost Planet from Steam, there is no very interesting gifts.
I don`t see the point of adding more characters to Raid mode, since playing with one character or another in Raid mode are almost exactly the same thing, since they don`t have customized weapon loadouts, the only thing that varies between characters is the reloading speed for specific type of weapons.
Anyway, why are they saying that Rachel was a BSAA agent?, that`s wrong.

I'm in the minority here, but I think Revelations looks like poo upscaled. It looks better on the big screen but it's not like the graphics improved. They still look the same to me, but a lot more polished.

Yeah, it looks pretty much like the 3DS version 97% of the time. Except for the polish and enhanced characters poly count. Background textures and geometry are practically the same. Even on the 3DS, you could tell that some textures were on the low side of things. I was wishing that they would bump those up for the ports.

But I've seen games made from the ground up for HD consoles and they look a lot worse than this port here. And I can think of two recent ones made by Gearbox.

Anyway, I hope they fix the loading times. The cutscenes in the 3DS version never bothered me and I can skip them and immediately start playing the game. But in the HD versions, it seems you're going to see loading screens before and after each cutscene.
