I should've been clearer on my Quint & Keith complaint, sorry about that. I didn't really have a problem with the enemy wave section, I have a problem with the characters themselves. They are both really whiny, with the nasal-speaking one being the more annoying of the two. Tonally, this combined with them trying (and failing) to be comedy relief or crack jokes just doesn't work with the rest of the game in my opinion. Also them fumbling around in that artic section of the game.

Also I am not sure if this was intentional or not but they come off as a gay couple in the game. This in itself is fine but they are supposed to be professionals but they kept flirting with eachother more than doing their job which ultimately had me wanting to smash their heads with a rock (the same goes for Jessica trying to fish out comments from Chris in their wolf section). I was honestly expecting a kissing scene between Q&K at any moment.
I never got a gay lover vibe from them, more like a awkward friendship. The comedy for me worked only sometimes, for example

    [Extremely Minor Spoiler Ahead]

When Quint changed his voice to a more manly and deep voice when he realized Jessica was on the line did kinda crack me up a little.

Keith was mostly ok, but Quint was painful. the 3 stooges Curly accent was painful.

As Deus Flux mentioned the game does have it's weak points, mostly the more action focused missions from other characters.

The main focus of the overall game is horror and I strongly recommend giving Revelations a play, especially now with this improved Unveiled Edition.
Pretty much what he said... but I disagree on the Quint and Keith segments. Those are not all action. In fact the first one is just added there to give you a lil' breather. The other two sections that you play as them are rather brief. With the last one being a bit like Mercenaries in that you have to kill a crapload of beasties. I wouldn't remove those from the game.

The ones that I don't like are the on-rails ones. The one where you ride a boat and later an helicopter. I don't like them because they require very little skill.

BTW, I suppose that Capcom will provide us with a demo. That way, those that are on the fence can test the game out. And there's always Youtube (however, watching and playing the game is not the same).

Interesting. What's the source for this? All the interviews I've read have said the story will not be changed or altered whatsoever.

Unless they are going to be new files on residentevil.net only?

If I could change some things about the game, I would totally delete all of the action side missions, those awful Quint and Keith characters and include a chapter replay feature. These things seriously hurt the game in my opinion and would be a much better experience without them.

I like the classic games, but hate RE4,5 and 6.

People keep saying its more like the classic games then the modern, but i dont know if thats true.
It is still more like the modern games, though of all the modern games is the closest return to the old games. Non-Jill chapters are mainly action and not much else, most of Jill chapters keep up a decent horror atmosphere and tend to be slow paced (in keeping with atmosphere) though even Jill chapters have action moments or long action segments, especially towards end game. Puzzles are still crap. Fighting during most Jill chapters is slow paced.

If you hate 4/5/6 then you're going to hate a lot of Revelations, but at the same time I think it does enough that a classic game fan can find enough to enjoy from it.

It plays slower than RE5 and RE6, but is still action oriented. The atmosphere is greatly improved over the other games IMO and is dark and eerie.

To Wii U, or not to Wii U? That is the question.

I recently got a Wii U and am liking the additions and item screen on it (game pad screen). It's much like the 3DS version. As long as it performs the same as on the PS3 or X360, I'll be happy.

I seriously don't think they would remove the files from the game, with Revelations centered around single player I think that's why we even got them in the first place, Well that and them wanting to provide a more classic type game. With RE6 designed around co-op it made more sense to have them unlockables so the flow of the game did not suffer from reading files (Even though it's something us fans would welcome with open arms in a single player OR co-op game).

...Dont tell me they removed all the in game files and posted them on RE.net in order to justify the sites existence and increase traffic.-_-
