I always thought Chris and Jill getting married would be a huge development to the series, but if Jill left Chris because of his drinking? now that would be even bigger.

Yeah but that romance and that character arc was never established in the previous stories. Shoe-horning in this stuff with him suddenly becoming a miserable alcoholic wreck is just silly. Probably the least silly part of the RE6 plot we have seen perhaps, but I it still doesn't gel for me. Unecessary.

It was more or less confirmed in Revelations. "Already taken" and all that.

Does anyone notice a massive, massive resemblence to how ORC controls, look at some of the animations (running and aiming), the laser sight being actually 'on' scenery, the cover animation looks the same, the movement and the way the camera follows, the same. It's frightning when you compare them actually.

If that would be the case it isn't being phoned in. Chris has been known to be a wild card at times, but usually straightens up. Still this is the first time where you get to see Chris hit rock bottom. Most of the time you only read up about it.

Certainly seems that way. But both titles were made by different teams. I can only factor that the ORC elements shown in RE6 were Capcom's inspiration to achieve the same types of goals that Slant Six wanted with ORC. A chaotic structure where your character and co-op partner/s are guided from point A to point B using stylized melee and shooting to fight your way through B.O.W.s

Which really works out for both titles because it'll be a hallmark financially and offer plenty of game time between friends.
