The definition of mindless shooting is the main objective being eliminating everything you can.Originally posted by Dark_Chris View PostBut that's not a definiton of mindless shooting...
So basically, you just need to run and shoot. Nothing else is forced.Last edited by Guest; 07-13-2012, 01:11 PM.

I'm sorry, have you played any game pre-BH5? They don't give you an arsenal and copious amounts of ammo for nothing. Fighting the creatures in the series has always been a big focal point. It's part of the fun. The only difference is that the older games are much more small-scale.Originally posted by alinhoalisson View PostYes, you cannot go shooting everything, but YOU NEED TO TRY, OR ELSE YOU CANNOT PROCEED, JUST LIKE RE5.PROJECT Umbrella - The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium

Yes, it has always been. But pre-BH5, I don't remember any point where it said that: "Kill all the enemies!"Originally posted by News Bot View PostI'm sorry, have you played any game pre-BH5? The newer games had a lot of these moments. While in the classics, there were several moments where you could avoid bosses like the Yawn, Black Tiger, Nemesis, Mr.X, etc.
It was the fun of the game, but the game never forced you to stay there and kill everything, unless it was a boss.

You don't have to kill all enemies to progress in BH5. You can just as easily run past them to the next area. It's certainly encouraged, as the enemies present a threat to you (hence the whole "fear" and "horror" theme), but not necessary. The only real time this occurs is the Pubic Assembly stage, and that is a time-limit where you're forced to fend off endless hordes, not kill a select number. You can simply run around and let the time-limit end. Because, y'know, survival and shit. None of the games in the series force you to kill anything outside of bosses.Originally posted by alinhoalisson View PostYes, it has always been. On that note, BH6 looks and plays amazing. Those claiming it's a "piece of crap game" need to take a reality check.Last edited by News Bot; 07-13-2012, 03:51 PM.PROJECT Umbrella - The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium

Edit: No worries Shane, it wasn't the first flaming fuck ball and it certainly won't be the last in the months to follow. It's hard out here for a thread.Last edited by REmaster; 07-13-2012, 04:10 PM."One can only match, move by move, the machinations of fate... and thus defy the tyrannous stars."

I think I might join you in that endeavor. I don't understand this thread.... If you felt driven to make another thread to discuss how much you hate RE6 due to being ridiculed in the official RE6 thread, that means that you (obviously) didn't realize that making a thread like this would just intensify that ridicule. Why can't you just take your lumps in the official RE6 thread? That's what it's there for... for you to bitch about it and for us to deal with (and ridicule) the bitching. It's like the heartbeat of this forum right now, and you just gave it an atrial fibrillation! We're headed to a full on cardiac arrest which will result in a lot of people seeing this guy...Originally posted by News Bot View PostYou say this like I care about "doing it right". In RE5, if you don't kill enemies in a part of the labs, the transport machine doesn't move and you can't make progress.
Or in the lake part, where you have to kill everyone in the fortress inside a boat.

Hahahahahaha. The Licker part? You do realize the whole point of that scene was to ramp up some tense horror? It did it quite masterfully considering it was unexpected. A horde of enemies that just received quite a bit of build-up suddenly quickly approaching you from a long hallway was probably the best part of the damn game. You don't have to shoot them for long or anything.Originally posted by alinhoalisson View PostIn some parts, yes, you do have to kill enemies besides bosses.

You're grasping for some seriously thin straws. I advise you to stop.PROJECT Umbrella - The BIOHAZARD/RESIDENT EVIL Compendium
