So why try and start it without adding anything productive in your post?


Besides, a fighter removing a character in the sequel always sucks for anyone who mained that character so its a ligit complaint if she wasn't, same as anyone being removed (unless they got cloned).

Ok lets be frank here, how many people used EVERY bloody character from mvc2, i've owned the game since day 1 on the dreamcast and to be honest i've only mained with say 10-15 of the entire lot, half the cast didn't appeal to me or seemed like tacked on character swaps with minor alterations in an attempt to fill character slots.

Cutting the fat down to 30+ characters, but having an awesome roster of meaningful/relevant characters which fit Capcom and Marvel's contemporary characters would be ideal.

I don't think Jill fans should be worried or anything. There are way more useless characters in MvC2 to get rid of for MvC3 before getting to her.
This game needs more variety that 2 didn't have (Jill was the only RE character).
I'm hoping for at least 4-5 RE characters (Chris, Jill, Leon, Claire, Wesker would be my bets but it's Capcom so.. who knows?).

Yes, there's Dante and Frank. On that Shinkiro's art people also spotted Trish's silhouette (she's next to Ryu's right fist).

And rather than Jill...I'd like to see some Bayonetta in the roster as well.

Not a huge fan of fighting games, but the prospects of building my dream team of Spider-Man / Chris / Venom has me pretty excited for this game. I love Marvel, I enjoy Capcom, but I don't enjoy fighting games. I think I might have to bite the bullet and pick this one up...but I'll wait for E3 and other looks at the game to figure that all out.

For now...I'm excited.

It wouldn't surprise me if it goes the Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom way of gameplay mechanics
which is great and not broken...I would say it's much better done than MvC2.

The only thing they got to include back from MvC2 that they left out in TvC is a 4
button control scheme instead of the 3 button & 1 for change & assist.

I hope this time around they try to balance the character quantities among their
individual respective franchises. In other words, bring more RE characters (as long as
they are different and not have the same or very similar movesets) into the game as
well as Darkstalkers characters such as "Jedah".

XD She's not...but Dante also isn't Atlus property, yet he got to appear in Nocturne (through a few deals with Capcom of course). Wishful thinking on my part to have my Dante vs Bayonetta battle come to life....and then have Morrigan swoop in, molest them both, and fly off with Deadpool and Sailor Moon into the sunset.
