Haha - just thought - two 'copies' of the main character, the other character doubting who is real. On a boat. In the ocean.

    It's GAIDEN 2!! lolz

The Chris clone thing is a definate wtf moment.

And briefly I hope they never ever use the Alex Wesker aspect. Why the hell would he randomly just turn up after Albert dies. It's silly and stretching credibility for the series even further than it has so far.

But must say of all I've seen this, Zelda and GT5 are the games of show thus far. This totally right hooked me in that I totally didn't expect it or see it coming.

But no show of Resident Evil Portable - can we assume that's been totally shelved now?

    Hands-on info:

We were also allowed to see a short demo of Resident Evil Revelations, a 3DS-exclusive from Capcom. The action seems to take place on a giant ocean liner amid a terrifying storm. On board are Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine who seem to be coming to blows over some typically obtuse Resi plot point, while a shady prisoner looks on. This time, we could use the analogue stick to look around the scene, using short smooth wiping motions on the button. It's also possible to zoom in and out using the A and B buttons

It's hard (impossible you might say) to determine what format the game will be in, but we can deduce that it will either be set in a timeline close to Resident Evil 5 as the appearance of Chris Redfield suggests, or it will take place around the time of the original incident at the mansion. There's also a brunette female who could be Jill Valentine, which when coupled with the familiarity of the interior hallways in one of the screenshots makes a decent argument for a re-imagining of the original game, with a few 'revelations' here and there put in for good measure.

'Hunk' also makes an appearance and in another shot we see a massive ship which hopefully will be a playable location. The train section on Resident Evil Zero was easily one of our favourites and if Capcom can experiment with varying game environments like this, we should be in for a treat.

Wow great news. I was hoping the next RE game would tell several short stories do you think thats what this game is? Would they show this many locations with the first few shots of the game. That boat looks like the one from Re5 to me.

EDIT: Also can you play this on the standard Ds? God I hope so.

    Albert Wesker. Not Alex.

    Same here.

Judging by the screens, it looks like there is a clone of Chris Redfield involved and I can't see that happening before RE5 and LIN.

Also, it looks like Jill and Chris will be revisiting the Spencer Estate. I highly doubt that it's a retelling of LIN since Jill doesn't have her hat and the corridor looks a bit different from the one we saw in LIN (maybe new areas of the estate?)

Perhaps the files in LIN hinted at RE: Revelations and not RE6?

he isn't really important enough to become a main bad guy character.
He was important enough to be the only other significant Wesker child, and the one with multiple journal entries dedicated to him in LIN. Spencer hedged his bets on the success of Alex, so I'd say there's at least a possibility of him making an appearance as a key antagonist. Or not. It's just speculation on my part.

Capcom tends to shoot themselves in the foot when they try to go backward in time and fill in the holes of the main story arc.

It'll probebly just be a one off bad guy like Nicholai was, or Morpheus...(Was that the bad guy from Dead Aim? i can't remember).

The titles I'm most interested are:

STAR FOX 3D, DEAD OR ALIVE, NINJA GAIDEN, STREET FIGHTER 4.

    Wow.

Nintendo's 3rd party line up has to be the most I've ever seen on a portable. Remember the PSP's starting line up? Companies must be really putting in faith into this new system and or/ Nintendo is really dishing out the cash.

Still, it would be interesting in playing RE:R in portable 3D with no glasses. Not to mention judging from the screens it looks heavily intensive on story.

Little weird it has Chris and Jill in Specncer attire though. Maybe this is a lead up to it?

Well this is one big surprise... Eveyone expecting a PSP title to be announced ... wow ...
The grafics look really cool ... I really dont know if I should bother getting this console to play this game. Wii port perhaps?
I am still hoping there will be another game to add to the announcements on E3.

Does..anyone know if 3DS games can be played on anything besides 3DS? The last thing my eyes need is 3D effects lol, plus, I pretty much refuse to buy any more DS's at this point.
You can turn off the 3D and just play it in 2D. That's one of the features of the 3DS.
