Dont worry, youre not missing out much. Unless you want to join a clan and play competitively in ladders, that is. Otherwise, the community is very much alive (on PC), with at least 15´000 players on at any moment. Theres also a number of very good mods (I suggest, after 100 or so hours in vanilla-unmodded COD4, to go play on "promod" servers*), that either bring in new features or rebalance/remove/restructurize existing ones.

We could catch a game sometime. You use xfire? Because I rarely see you on MSN.

Theres a lot of rumours regarding MW and COD franchises, as some think MW will move in to Battlefield territory and start taking a snack out of DICEs kingdom. All while COD stays where it is. That means, all aspect vehicular and infantry warfare, the kind like in Battlefield Bad Company (for those unfamiliar with the earlier PC titles). And frankly, that is excellent news. Infinity W brought in brilliant infantry combat and one of the most balanced games of the last 4 years. Considering modders have already made the air strike Mig-29´s flyiable, IW is slowly stepping in.

I really did think that MW2 will be that game, but apparently its not. Which was my first disappointment.

My second disappointment came from no news on crossplatform multiplay, which I still think either DICE or Infinity Ward will try to do in the nearest future.

Considering MW2 will largely follow the success of COD4 in its concept, Im not worried about weapons, maps and all that, theyll come out well anyway. Single Player is going to suck as usual.

So the last thing that still hasnt been neither announced nor denounced, is CODTV, which, if it would make it into the game, would give a huge boost to MW2 competitive scenery and give a major kickstart to e-gaming´s spectator sport aspect.

I'm with missv. Last stand + Deagle = win. Oh but I love bouncing Betties. In the short time I had to play World at War I enjoyed the change in weaponry. It wouldn't make sense but it would be cool if Molotov cocktails were avaiable in MW2.

I remember I picked up COD4 day one, and in my second or third game I started running into Martyrdom grenades -- I quickly became accustomed to sprinting away from anyone I'd killed.

I'm interested to see what perks MW2 has in store. I have one real wish -- NO MORE JUGGERNAUT. kthx
Yeah i agree martyrdom is annoying at times, i never used it much myself, i was more of a last stand person. Desert Eagle FTW! But what pissed me off more were the Bouncing Betties in COD5.

I hope MW2 has a Communist Zombie mode or a Terrorist Zombie mode in it.

Yeah man, after picking off Zakhaev, he was airlifted into the chopper. He's now a grizzled veteran in MW2.

I really hope it's as good as COD4 was.
