1. All the weapons from the original are coming again.
2. 3 maps from the original are coming back with a few noticeable tweaks here & there.
3. There is a total of 16 maps including 3 from the original.
4. 20 new weapons will be added to the inventory & the most noticeable are the FAMAS assault rifle, HK PSG-1 sniper rifle, MP7 sub machine gun, AA12 fully automatic shotgun, MG4 LMG and the .44 magnum revolver.
5. Multiple attachment perk has been added which allows 2 attachments to be added to a weapon.
6. The Single Player Campaign is predicted to last 7+ hours.
7. Co-op Mode has been added.
8. A new Alien Terrorist co-op mode is also added with details still unknown.
9. The multiplayer is set to have 4 new modes above the original modes.
10. A new CLAN system & TOURNAMENT system will be added.
11. The PS version of the game is set to have Dedicated severs provided from SONY [Xbox Servers status still unknown].

Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is scheduled to be released on ‘November 10/2009′.


The PSG-1 would be awesome, but an MP7 is even better...that's probably one of my favorite weapons.

Will the M14 be making a return? That was the best weapon in multiplayer.

Not really very interested in Call of Duty, haven't tried World at War, but absolutely hated Call of Duty 4. I quite frankly don't care if the online multiplayer was the best ever, or whatever, it doesn't change the fact that the single player was broken mess that received far too much praise. And seeing how Activision recently went out and claimed they'd together with Infinite Ward "reinvented the FPS genre" with Modern Warfare is rather... awkward and disgusting.

Anyway, as I said before; I don't care if the multiplayer is rock solid. If the single player portion of the game is still a broken mess tied together by a wonky narrative... then it's not worthy of both the praise and price tag. (Can't remember if there's been any games, other than Lost Planet - Colonies Edition, that I've bought just for the multiplayer.)

Again, this is all just speculation...but it's something to discuss. So here goes:

* Vehicles will be in MW2

Seriously, no. For real. Infinity Ward is smart enough to leave vehicles out, I hope.

* Ak47 and M4 will return, unknown if there are any changes

M4 is my favorite gun, even though it's beginning to age...it holds a special place in my heart.

* M40 will return, ACOG damage boost will be fixed

Awesome. M40 was my favorite sniper rifle in COD4, definitely. I love the bolt-actions.

* Scorpion, P90, M21, R700, G3, G360 will not return

I say 'meh' to all of these except the G3...I fuckin' loved that gun and its single-shot rate of fire.

* New sniper rifle: SR25M (United states forces)
* New Assault rifle: Diemeco C8 (Canadian forces M4 equivalent)
* New Assault rifle: L85A2 (United Kingdom forces)

This is a month old and probably bullshit, but I thought it was worth posting to spark discussion:

* M16 will return, using stopping power will only be OHK at head, neck, and torso (abdomen, limbs, and hands/feet will not)

Anywho, I think that they should keep the zombie mode for MW2, but who knows since it's a different team. Eithier way, I've bought both the next-gen COD's and PWNED people on both so I'll most likely get this one.
