I just read on the last page that Red Seeds Profile's Asia release has ENGLISH LANGAUGE?
    I KNEW ITTT.
I knew the Asian PS3 version would have the Xbox 360 English langauge and text. <3
I'm going to eBay to order mine ASAP.
But for you EU Xbox users, I hope you get your Europe release.

    EDIT:
    Oddddd...YesAsia says its Japanese only...
    TO PLAY-ASIA!

^"There are no plans for this at present." is hardly a confirmation of anything. Like I said, no one has confirmed any plans for Heroes' Paradise yet. Reason why is probably because no one wants to shell out the costs for re-localizing the game if the rights to recycle the contents from the previous version can't be secured (or whoever owns the rights to the original English audio + the translated text assets is being unreasonable with the costs.)

I'm pretty sure Rising Star Games are well aware of "Deadly Premonition", considering how the game was funded and published by Marvelous Interactive (same company that also publishes the No More Heroes games in Japan). In case you didn't know Rising Star Games was a company funded and started by Marvelous Interactive (Japan) and Bergsala (often referred to as Nintendo Scandinavia/Nordic), to act as a European publisher for various titles (such as Marvelous' own titles). In other words; Rising Star Games = Marvelous Europe.

The problems with all the Marvelous property is that Marvelous recently pulled out of Rising Star Games a few months back, making it so that basically the highest bidder/most lucrative publisher will get to handle localization/distribution of their titles (instead of things being 110% exclusive to Rising Star Games, as they've been up till now. Meaning that if Rising Star Games doesn't take it, no one else can). This is most likely why Deadly Premonition is currently in limbo, Heroes' Paradise yet to get an international publisher and Desperate Struggle taking a while to get confirmed for Europe (although there never really was any doubt). All 3 being titles with release dates in the same period as when Marvelous pulled out of Rising Star.

Rising Star have said on their boards they have no plans for releasing Heroes Paradise

They also just said "Thanks for the heads up" in regards to Deadly Premonition. Did they even know it was brought back as Deadly Premonition? Maybe the developers are shopping it around for a different published in EU regions?

Give 'em a break. They're a small publisher and they announced Desperate Struggle last month. Besides, no one has announced Heroes' Paradise for a non-Japan release.

Reason to actually chase 'em on the case of Deadly Premonition is because they several times in the past said they were committed to a release + for a while they were the only source for actual news on the game's redesign/delay.

I hope they haven't skipped on either of those, though with the amount of time it's taken them to get No More Heroes 2 out over here, we probably wouldn't see them for an age anyway.

Okay... so still no news about a European release!
"What is this nonsense," you may ask!

Well, here's what we can (and should) do!

    Rising Star Games, who've in the past (at least) been confirmed to having had the publishing rights for this game have both got a thread for the game and a "request a game" thread going on;
What games would you like to be released in Europe?
    Rainy Woods/Deadly Premonition
If you want it; quickly register on the Rising Star Games forums and speak up! A solid dose of people are doing it!

Alternatively, let's try to fish for some attention towards the game (and mybe some answers?) by poking those UK Inside Xbox chaps at "SentUAMessage" about it! Send your "When is Deadly Premonition coming to Europe?" questions to:

    E-mail: SentUAMessage@hotmail.com
    Twitter: @SentUAMessage
    Gamertag: SentUAMessage

Well, today marks the Japanese release of the game!

And the Red Room of the Japanese website has opened (containing two short edits of scenes from the game).

Seems like the Japanese Xbox LIVE Marketplace has an entry for it now, featuring a pile of screenshots, the new cover art and the Japanese Red Seeds Profile trailer. Lovely.

Now... if we only could get news about an EU release

The general impressions on various boards seems to be surprisingly good (like, way beyond even my own expectations )

So I picked the game up, got the red rings, and couldn't play it. The end.

...No wait, I actually do have quite a few things to tell, if you wouldn't mind me spoiling the beginning few scenes. My interest in this game spiked and I'm pissed I can't play it right now.

No reply from Rising Star Games, yet, but the confirmation that the PS3 version being dual-language is awesome (as I may have pointed out before, all gameplay footage in the early English trailers have oddly enough been captured from the PS3 version... while the Japanese site swears to the 360 version all the way... wonder if the Japanese 360 version too will have English text. As some general "ASIA" releases, not JAPAN, but just ASIA, are often PAL compatible.)

And, aaah, they went with the Polly dinner. Saw a youtube upload of that one a few days ago. So good. (Love the fact that the dialog script is so obviously barely changed, at all, since the Rainy Woods days.)
