I've been listening to Dio for the past few hours with a friend of mine.

I was shocked to log on today only to find out Dio passed away, my mom knew him personally years ago and I'm sure she's extremely saddened by this news.

So what I've read today is that Paul Gray (bassist for Slipknot) passed away today. Found dead in a hotel room in Iowa, the cause of death is unknown.

I have a small fondness for Slipknot. I find this news to be a real shocker, since I've always took a fondness for Paul Gray, due to the fact that he is left-handed (just like me).

Wikipedia also confirms his death as being legit.

I stopped liking Slipknot after the Iowa album. When Vol.3 came out they went downhill. Though I do like Paul because he is left handed (I'm left handed too) and he play's bass (again I do as well, I just dont play left handed bass).

Not a 'celebrity' exactly, but Brittany Murphy's husband was found dead in his home Sunday. According to CNN he was to undergo heart surgery this summer. So sad for that family losing both her and now him.

Damn, just saw Slipknot's press conference about Paul's death. Not every day you see big rockstars broken like this. You will be missed Paul.
