Word of advice; it's a no-no here at THIA to single attack members while trying to argue for something. Either you have not learned the rules (which I find quite odd), or you are on a massive troll streak.

Obama is going to become public enemy number 1 for arabs. He is hated by terrorists, because of him(not only but because of him too) Kadafi is under attack.

So the Arab demonstrators in Libya think that Obama is their public enemy? No. The problem here is that if you are on the Western side, it is hard to see how people in Libya are actually suffering. They need all the help they can get. These people have a tyrant who is slaughtering their basic human rights. Obama and NATO are the heroes to these people, and they are loved for their actions to support them. The world can not sit idly by when thousands of people are getting killed by a tyrant who wants to protect himself and his family. Obama is loved by many Arabs - by any Arab that believes in freedom in his country. Politics will remain politics, but that does not change the fact that NATO finally woke up and lent their hands to help the Libyan people. No one person should have ultimate power to control peoples' way of life.

You see arguments like this that I do not understand. Vector clearly stated in his initial post that him and Americans like him do understand the consequences, but still they want to celebrate the ending of an evil individual. Therefore, I do not understand your point of dragging it further.

The woman was one of his wives. Given the situation, she may have willingly tried to shield him, or he could have done just as you said and used her against her will. Both are highly possible. And according to one news interview with a former spec-ops man, when a team like that goes in, they shoot anyone that doesnt drop to the ground. Situations are such that they dont have time to really access if a person is unarmed or not (and seeing as how terrorist organizations arent afraid to use women, children, or people with mental disorders as suicide bombers, I dont really blame them).

What an asshole. This guy was in charge or Pakistan for years and most likely knew about where Bin laden was but didn't do shit. Now he's saying we shouldn't have finished what Bin Laden started and let Pakistan do it instead. Pakistan is an incredibly corrupt place from what I understand and whenever the CIA has to do a mission in Pakistan, the Pakistani government are the last people notified due to them leaking information to a target before the CIA can get to them.

It's good that this chapter in world history is finally closed; I feel like Bin Laden's death probably gave some sense of closure to some Americans. True, it will never bring back loved ones from 9/11, but it does give peace of mind.

The only problem is another will rise up to fill Bin Laden's shoes at some point. It may be naive to say, but really, why can't people just learn to co-exist in harmony? I hate your religion, you hate mine...Agree to disagree. It's not that hard. Look past the differences and just see people as people.

I believe what he means is that some users just have to pop up and say bullshit. Bin Laden was responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent people, not just Americans. "HEY BRITFAGS! When any one commits a crime, especially something so terrible, everyone affected wants to see that person come to justice, whether it be jail or death. If you're saying you would be happy to just ignore the fact that someone responsible for the death of a loved one should simply got off free you should probably seek attention for whatever mental disorder you have.

Using the whole thought process of "It changes nothing" is very shallow. Yes, it wont bring the dead back. Yes, in a few months they will most likely regroup and try to retaliate. Yes, he will be seen as a martyr. No, this will not solve any of the financial problems caused by drawn out wars. However...for many people around the world, a dangerous man responsible for (let's repeat this all together now) the deaths of thousands of people worldwide is now dead, and the Americans responsible did so with as few casualties as possible.

This was something many people around the world never thought we could accomplish. IF you watched the news, just about everyone they interviewed said they never believed it could be done. Mission accomplished.

Now please, continue on. I'm sure your rebuttals will be a lovely heap of gargabe. Mission accomplished, whether you like it or not.

I may be wrong, but my wife tells me he couldn't - that although he showed the short version of his birth certificate, his...opponents demanded to see the long version of his birth certificate, which was never supposed to leave the hall of records where it was kept or some such. In other words, he literally couldn't and had to get special permission to show it.

And honestly? He should never had to show it. I call utter bullshit on him even needing to show the thing. I demand to see the birth certificate of every fucker running for president from now on.
