I was the poor bastard that walked up those stairs on the first run and got an anchor in the face out of nowhere. That was PURE EVIL and ingenious.

Get your ass kicked by him, and at some point some button press will appear on your screen (not when you're dodging Wesker's attacks) if you manage to input all the commands correctly you'll get the 'chievo. At least that worked for me.

If you play online co-op, is LiN like RE5 where you can't watch the opening cutscene together? Meaning, like when you start a new game in Kijuju, the person who joins the game can't see the scene with Birdwoman and the Uroboros guy, and Chris driving into town in a jeep...when you start out together, you're just standing in Kijuju. Is LiN like this in the same regard?
No, it actually works like the demo did where you invite your friend before the scenario even begins. Which is nice.

Thank you very much! Played through multiple times today, and I kept missing the last four or five. I think I'll give another playthrough later on Amateur to collect these stars. Greatly appreciated. :]

Thanks Stu and those who helped/made this list. I was pissed off because on my second playthru I couldn't find three of these little buggers. But they'll learn the hard way that payback is a bitch!

No, when playing online co-op both players can watch the intro cutscene.

Blasted it on Normal in 45 minutes first time so my initial feeling is it's crushingly short, and I just wish the enemy was a couple or three crimson heads or something, the enemy they decided to put in was frightningly dull.

But I'd be lying if I didn't say I loved every single minute of it, it really does feel like the series has completed it's full circle, with Barry/Rebecca in Mercs, the endless references in Lost In Nightmares, but the camera angles really made it incredible - it was just like playing a brand new classic Resident Evil title. (And I swear I nearly had a tear when Jill played Moonlight Sonata).

Fantastic. This was even for a short duration, STARS in a mansion, all over again.

I always wondered why there's the popular belief that the puzzles from the original games were so ingenious that they looked like they belonged from an IQ test or something. They weren't extremely complicated and were quite easy after a few playthroughs. I mean, RE3's water puzzle may have thrown some people off (including me) but you just have to learn or take note of the pattern and you're set.

As for Lost In Nightmares: I really liked it! I wish it was a bit longer but 1:30 is decent enough. Besides, the random weapon and enemy placement sure help a lot to replayabity.

The Keeper of Madness, Guardain of Insaity, w/e his name is haha, sure surprised me in a good way. I just expected him to be an executioner reskin and nothing else but the enemy is a real challenge if you don't plan your strategy well or your partner is not near you because 3 seconds in the air and you're killed with the huge anchor! I almost shitted my pants when I encountered the first one in the stairs. Not to mention those little bats in the Mansion's corridor LOL

This scenario nailed it in terms of mixing horror atmosphere, eerie music, "cheap" scares from the old REs we all love and the new gameplay (OTS camera and co-op). Certainly, this is the direction I'd like the series to move forward.
The files, while not too many, were very good and actually expand RE5's story a bit revealing that Irving worked with Ada in The Organization: something I always thought was possible but it's nice to see an official confirmation.

My only complain of it is the absence of most of the cutscenes seen in the trailers. What happened with Jill falling from the mansion's second floor? When they enter the dinning room? The back-to-back cheessy pose in the Wesker battle? They made such a big deal of the high quality and expensive cutscenes that omitting them makes no sense to me, unless they are triggered by playing in professional (which I'm about to do), but I doubt it. Also, the sewers got a bit tedious after a while. The enviroment was interesting but felt it could have been done better, perhaps going to another part of the area to make it fresh after being there for a while.

All in all, LiN is a great experience that every fan of the series will enjoy because it mixes perfectly, IMO, classic RE with new RE and it's very fun!

I can find all but one of the star emblems haha, it's so frustrating to get to the end and realise you've missed one, for about the sixth time today.

Agreed, it's mostly backtracking, however it's a nice nod to the classic games. I wouldn't say it's a bad thing because is nicely priced and as a plus we get Mr. Burton.

Now I'm going to seek & destroy the star emblems...
