I haven't gotten Lost in Nightmares yet, but I did get the costume pack.
I really like Mercenaries Reunion. It's a nice little remix of an old minigame.

I just booted up my 360. I have a feeling you're trolling.....but if you aren't....Originally posted by Project Omega View PostHas anyone played through the DLC on what I call "Classic Mode"? Start up a new game, and when you first walk through the mansion door and quick turn around. Investigate the door two times, and it will proceed as normal, but on the third time you investigate the door, it will have a "?" mark and will then let you play the mission like Resident Evil 1 with the static camera angles.
I'm uploading a video to Youtube as we speak and should be up within an hour thanks to my slow DSL line... I haven't played through the whole way in this fashion but I will after I come back from lunch

Lost in Nightmares impressions:
Spoiler:
Positives:
The atmosphere is great! It felt really spooky, the entire mansion part was a great throw-back to old-school Resident Evil. I've never been good with the classic camera, but I'll have to go play with that later. The initial underground part, where all the test subjects are, was kick ass. I got a very Silent Hill vibe from that entire portion. The new enemy is also very awesome, and the acid blood sort've thing he has was a neat touch.
Negatives:
The Keeper, while not being EXACTLY an executioner reskin, felt close enough. They lost all novelty after fighting off two of them at the same time. The sewer portion where you lose all your gear simply sucked. It was boring, felt like a chore to play, and the gimmick (crushing the Keeper with a spike ceiling trap) lost it's charm very very quick. The Wesker boss battle had almost no lead up to it, and it felt like they threw that in there just because it's part of the story.
I was kind of disappointed that I didn't hear Chris and Jill talking to each other very much at all. After the mansion, we don't hear really anything from them. The cutscenes are also non-existent, and believe it or not I did enjoy RE5's cutscenes very much, and I was hoping to see more. The ending cutscene was also disappointing, with only a few more seconds of new footage.
All in all, I liked LiN, it wasn't as good as it could've been (come on, a crushing ceiling, a trapped Jill, and NO sandwich line? Missed opportunities Capcom! ;P), but it wasn't horrible by any means. It's a great throw-back to old-school Resident Evil and nobody should've really expected anything more other than a treat for long-time series fans.
Mercs Reunion
Spoiler:
I LOVE this mode. Mercenaries is one of my favorite modes to play and I always find myself coming back to it. Mercs Reunion is no different. The new characters, Excella and Barry, are way too kick ass. We all sort've figured Barry was going to be a beast in this mode but Excella definitely exceeded my expectations (no pun intended).
No new weapons for anybody though, unless you count Barry's Samurai edge, which isn't all that exciting. The mode actually seems sort of easier than vanilla mercs, as I've gotten A and S ranks with all the characters available thus far. The first couple of stages move their time and combo bonuses around but it seems as though they're all in the same spots in the latter stages (I haven't played the Prison stage yet though).
Of course, I wish you could use both Mercs and Mercs reunion characters together, but other than that and a few other nitpicks, Reunion does not disappoint.

That's an entirely different question? My problem is the emblem not being in the exact same spot i saw it last time, not where in the map it is. The description is still appropriate.
Right, now, i'm going through on amateur to go the emblems, and this site's number 16...Is not there at all.16. After the monster breaks through the brick wall and leaves a hole, go through the hole and turn left. The next Score Star should be visible behind the bars and inside the cell. [Image]

What's the problem with that exactly? How many times does it happen in the First Dungeon Area? Oh yeah. Once.Originally posted by Carnivol View Post(WHERE A KEEPER DESTROYS THE WALL! ... OKAY!)
This is on the 360. I wish i had taken pictures on my way through now, this is annoying hahaOriginally posted by randomwab View PostEach emblem respawned every time I replayed last night. I hit 17/18 while playing through on Pro, I would have hit 18, but I ran out of bullets and couldn't hit the 17th one. It meant I had to run through quickly on Amateur and hit them all again, but it only took about 15 minutes to do so.Last edited by Stu; 02-18-2010, 10:50 AM.

Are you playing on PS3 or 360?Originally posted by Stu View Posthttp://residentevilnews.com/342/lost...ions-guide.php
Completely fucking baffled. I haven't seen number 17 on that list at all. But i'm absolutely POSITIVE that i've shot stars on the that shelf before the first wall burst through. Not to mention when i just played through, there wasn't one in the cell immediately AFTER the wall burst.

The Dungeon Area descriptions in the list you previously posted here on the forums is absolutely terrible. I was about to mention that one in nr. 17 there - as the description in the guide was absolutely horrible (WHERE A KEEPER DESTROYS THE WALL! ... OKAY!)
