I have been playing the Dreamcast version of Biohazard 3 and have to say it's better than the Gamecube version. It has the 640X480 backgrounds, smooth models, arrange mode, more costumes.

As I said above, all the cutscenes are real-time. XP

Edit: Wow, didn't see another page. My bad!

The wii ports are good too (especially RE4). I like how the prl gun is a more capable weapon. Ada can use her knife in assignment ada and mercenaries. You can play as other costumed versions of leon and ada in mercs.

And to the guy that asked if the cutscenes were prerendered. I'm not sure. They have a cutscene viewer.

When you play as Leon in the RPD outfit all his RPD cutscenes are there in the game.

The gangster outfit however just reverts back to his default costume in cutscenes except for a few places such as the one in the beginning where he is looked at by the ganado as he approaches the cabin. That one was prerendered in RE4 on ps2 but not on the wii version.

I think the best ports have been on gamecube, outside that PC if you have the tools and understanding to manipulate the games (skins, details, etc) that have been released on that platform. Gamecube controller <3

It is weird how you talk of the GC RE games being hard to find, they've been easy to find ever since release over here.

^No, it's all rendered in real-time like the Gamecube version. So everyone can see super-duper Beverly Hills Ninja mack daddy kick-you-in-the-face-motherfucker Leon get the shit kicked out of him by Krauser in his try-to-be-cool mobster outfit.

The Gamecube versions of 2, 3, and CVX were in almost every Gamestop I went to for years and they always stayed around $40 for some reason.

That's odd, of the GC offerings the REmake and 4 are the hardest to come by here. 3 is like 10 bucks more than the others. At the time I purchased CVX there were about 3 other copies there. But I guess different areas have different stocks as well.

^I was so lucky to find all the GC games at my GameStop at one time or another. Except for CVX. I had to buy it off Amazon for $15 mint condition, so it was a steal. And it completed my GC collection.

Good luck getting the CV:X port. I couldn't find that game on the GC for the fucking life of me. I had RE2 and 3 on the GC but someone stole them awhile ago. I haven't found them at any game stores since.

Sorry for the bump guys, but I'd actually like to say that I got my hands on the GameCube version of RE3: Nemesis and I think it may be a great port!!!

Character models look awesome and FMVs run at a good framerate! Obviously, like you guys said, no extras like the PC and Dreamcast versions. I might change my opinion on the first post.

Now I need to hunt down the Code: Veronica X GameCube port

I think RE2 dreamcast is the best port for that game along with Re3 and RE1 saturn version
