I can also mention that one of Kamiya's favourite bands is a-ha.

    Undeniable FACTUAL EVIDENCE.

The link Darkmoon posted a few pages back to an interview with Hideki Kamiya that News Bot provided seems to answer the original question about this thread. Q21 Kamiya suggests that Hunk already secured the G sample before the rest of his team was decimated by William. This is backed up with how the scene plays out in Darkside Chronicles where he picks up the sample from the table. This is the version which makes more sense to me.
The idea that Hunk retrieves the sample Leon threw is ridiculous not to mention there's no conceivable way Wesker could know Leon threw a sample away in the first place. (I get that he is narrating a summary of events here but this is a plot device as he says 'his people hurried to retrieve the sample that Leon threw'. But there is no way for him to know about this realistically.

Darkside wins over Wesker's Report in this respect for me.

Am I right in thinking that the actual script is canon but the video is not. Take away the video and listen to the audio only isn't it actually accurate to the titles? (Though i'll be honest I cannot remember what Wesker's description of the Hunk thing is - will just look it up).

Ahhh no, Wesker specifically mentions Hunk retrieving the vial Leon threw away, so jah, botched I guess.

WR on the other hand, is only accessible on a limited packages and is only semi-canon at best, just like the various short stories in the soundtracks or the novels.

    My opinion.
It's not too big nor is it being ignored. S is Tricell (originally; Seashell).

WR is the only main piece of supplemental material which is really under scrutiny. Everything else from Wesker's Report II, Wesker's Extra Report, Prelude to the Fall, Angela's Diary, Incubate, Catalysis, Archives, Archives II, Official Guidebooks and the Kaitai Shinsho guidebooks are all pretty spot-on. It's just the original Wesker's Report that doesn't fit in some places. It's not that big a deal, but if there's any possibility of it being like the rest then that's always a plus.

I can already see that they left the 'S' pharmaceutical company in Ada's Report.
