I wasn't referring to your post specifically, but in general to those smartasses who jump on the crane and say "PSX is a PS2 model, it is NOOOOOT an alias for the first PlayStation!!!111!1 <useless picture follows up>". That just makes me want killing puppies.

Because back in 1997 there just wasn't the level of media coverage at the E3 and TGS there is now. Mostly at those events coverage you got official screens only posted in magazines. No one wanted to really show the expos as much. That's not saying attendees didn't take photos just that they've never been posted online or in things at the time.

If you do a search of video e3 1997 on google you'll come up with only one video of RE2 which is a Edge disc from 1997 but the footage is a reel that includes stuff from 1.5, Claire in 2, and even the zombie and title from RE1. But also in that search you'll find there is only about a dozen games that had footage survive this long.

Where in any of my posts did I say that PSX was not an abbreviation of the original Playstation title? I didn't, what I said is "this is the PSX," which is true, that is what the system is called and is the system I was reffering to hence the photo, unless you are trying to imply that PSX is not an abbreviation of the DVR system either?

Either way don't read into what I was saying, I was merely thinking out loud...

Are there maybe any pictures or maybe even video footage of that specific E3 available ?

You guys mentioned two games expositions already, but just one single picture available ?

    Seriously ?

Not likely since there's almost a decade between them, but the system looks odd, for a second I thought it was a white Sega Saturn. :/ Certainly doesn't look like a regular Playststion, unless it's covered with something to stop the disc from being removed from the kiosk.
This looks like a giant VCR for me...

Indeed, but inside that is what looks like a grey and white box with none of the distinctive markings of a regular Playststion. Could be the light, could be part of a second security enclosure, either way it looks weird, hard to tell with such a grainy photo.

That is the only (known) picture available of that 1.5 demo booth. It was in a closed door event so the attendees probably weren't allowed to record footage of the things being showcased.
