Or they just suck at creating CG models. The only character who looks half-way decent is Leon, and that's because his model is taken from Darkside Chronicles. Every other model in the game looks terrible. Except for the ones who don't even have faces.

For a game such as this one, I don't think it matters, though. You'll be mostly watching the other end of their faces while running n gunning. Hitting foes in the back, even.

I'm a bit lost with the character Lone Wolf... who is he?

That doesn't make much sense though because HUNK, Jill and Claire are all playable in Mercs 3D lol. Jill even has her RE3 outfit as bonus costume.
Leon and Ada should've been in Mercs 3D no matter what, they simply didn't want to come up with 2 more weapon sets and new melee attacks for them. Ada's Mercs theme is even in the game which is simply pathetic if you ask me. They better release some cheap/free DLC soon enough.

It doesn't make sense. I think there should have been more characters in Mercs 3D as well. But from Capcom's mindset most of the characters we asked for ended up in this mode. They brushed off Leon saying he's going to be in this game. That sounded like insult to injury since the only involvement he seemed to have at the time was getting killed by the U.S.S. Carlos and Nicholai were the first Mercenaries and they weren't in the 3DS game. You brought up Ada who was also absent.

I guess you can say that what we have here as selectable choices make more sense than the ones for Mercs 3DS. Were they going for a mix of RE4/RE5 characters? Why add a newcomer like Claire and not Leon? Over all that game was just confused.

This is probably what Capcom was referring to when they said Leon wasn't in Mercs 3D. That he'd be playable in ORC Heroes Mode alongside Claire, HUNK and Jill.

If they had room for two other characters I'd like to see Chris and Wesker. But if they only wanted Raccoon City characters then I'd opt for Mikhail, Marvin, Irons or Tofu. And yes I think Tofu was technically a villain no matter how absurd his existence is. In the Tofu modes for RE2 and Darkside Chronicles he certainly wasn't your run of the mill good guy now.

So, watching the trailer again, I'm trying to figure out the character classes:

Leon - Impossible to tell. Possibly Vector based on the melee animations? I can't remember if each character has specific melees or if it's a generic animation they all share.

Claire - Four Eyes.

Carlos - Beltway.

Jill - Impossible to tell.

HUNK - Vector.

Nicholai - Beltway.

Lone Wolf - Four Eyes.

Ada - Bertha.

That suggests to me that there are still two more characters for each side that have yet to be revealed. For Heroes, I would guess Chris and maybe Barry (he's probably the most likely since he was actually in RE3), and Villians would obviously have to be Wesker and someone else. Maybe Mikhail?

They both kinda look like Famke Janssen clones. Character model maker must been a big fan of Goldeneye or X-men.

Anyway regarding possible villains we have a few choices and I honestly wouldn't mind Annette. Wesker is an obvious one anyway, he's being tossed into anything ever since he died.
For heroes I agree with Chris and Barry unless they replace Chris with Mikhail. The other two mercenaries are playable so why not him as well?

Wow, Claire and Jill are really thin-looking to me. I know they are never really portrayed as medium-build to fat, but they just look a lot thinner to me in those pictures.

I do like the Jill rendering, but she reminds me of an actress (and I use the term "actress" loosely).

It'll probably be another original character, to be honest.

For characters who actually saw combat during the events of RE2 and RE3, there aren't a whole lot to pick from on the villians side, and that seems to be what they're going for. Hence why we got this Lone Wolf character instead of someone like Annette or Irons.
