Well, of course and so did the PS3 at its beginning. Remember Wipeout. Would it be considered next gen had it been released in 2014? :pLast edited by Rick Hunter; 06-23-2013, 08:28 AM.

I know that if they are running the old 4GB dev models, then the new 8GB models would most likely make the game run a ton better. Probably look better as well.

I hate how MS is trying to appease people but still fail. No one wants the Kinect, yet they still push it.

Legal paranoia. They want the Kinect to be "always available" (to the point where you've got no one but yourself to blame if it isn't), but people making such a stink about its connectivity (despite it being fully possibly to disable its functionality via the OS) made them probably remove the connectivity check entirely instead. (So all the paranoid people who tape over their cams and tear out the microphones form the laptops and cellphones don't have to start taping and gutting their expensive Kinect hardware too).Originally posted by Code_R View PostDon't have to use Kinect, still have to pay for it.
In general, the design of the system appears to be very well treated in terms of ventilation and cooling systems (probably the most impressive console to date in terms of making sure it's not secretly choking itself). This is just another OS level feature that tells you to stop keeping your system at the bottom of a laundry pile or airtight cabinet. Kinda surprised the 360 never got this patched in, but I guess the different hardware revisions made it difficult to retroactively get that in there in any non-obstrusive manner, since the different models can be subjected to such a variety of temperatures before they individually choke or start running the risk of hardware damage.Originally posted by Code_R View PostIt will let you know if it's overheating, so they didn't built it to prevent that problem.
All based on your LIVE account's region of choice. Nothing new there. LIVE for the Xbox One not being entirely up and running for accounts registered in non-launch countries doesn't exactly come as a shocking surprise. (Or at least shouldn't)

Isn't it still region locked for the day one patch, meaning imported consoles are no good but importing games and playing them on a home region console will still work. Or did they change that too?Originally posted by Carnivol View PostOn the bright side; at least it wont come crashing down in the middle of that tower of games I will just have bought around the time it launches.
But, yeah, thinking of pulling a Ryanair and grab one in the UK or something now
