Not his fault by any stretch of the imagination. Craig is a fantastic Bond, it was the director that drove that movie into the ground. Another example of wasted talent.

All I saw was cock :O I'm actually a bit glad they're straying away from the powers. I mean, I grew fond of it by the second movie, but then it started getting a bit ridiculous.Originally posted by ChrisRedfield29 View PostBiggest news in this image:

Anybody else find it intriguing that the suit actually looks like a wet suit? Hmmm.

Yeah, but there is a difference between being skeptical about an actor, or a director, or something. But this is an entire production I'm skeptical of. And with good cause for it too. Firstly a director disagrees with a studio approach on the next film and they part ways, in doing so the actors are released from non contracted films. And then instead a reboot of the franchise, which isn't even a decade old, is fast tracked through production and given to a director who Sony knows they can trust because of quality yet control because a production of this size is new to them.Originally posted by Trent View PostWell, everyone was skeptical about Daniel Craig being the new James Bond (specially that he didn't even fit the physical features). Look what happened after he did the first movie...
I have no beef with the casting here, and technically not the concept, but I just think it's way too soon to be doing this and the speed at which it's being done doesn't bode well.
It's funny you use the Daniel Craig thing, and Quantum has been mentioned here. It's biggest issue was it was fast tracked through to beat the writers strike a few years back, and the quality of that and almost every other film that came out sped through production was fairly horrid. I don't expect anything less from this for the same reasons. A reboot espically needs time to be properly thought out, this just doesn't seem to have been done.

Yeah, but again because somehow you seemed to ignore entirely what I just wrote, this isn't just simply about changing a cast or cast member.Originally posted by Trent View PostThe second movie is irrelevant, my point is that changing cast does not necessarily make a franchise worse. In some cases (as done by Craig in the first movie) actually better.
