How long does it take to write a screenplay with a box of crayons?

As for the argument in this thread:

    =

There is no different whatsoever between these two characters...except maybe the mental powers.

after reading more of your opinion, especiall after the one where you said the movies dont have to reinact the series, your completly right, but what i have to disagree on you is that RE is based on bio-weapons, BOWs for short, and from the bigining not everything was about the t-virus and zombies, the new games are being used to help move the series along so they can pick themselves off their butts, and it did, RE4 was a success, but your right you ahve your opinions, keep them, dont let anyone chang it either.

btw youve changed my opinion on the movies a bit... i feel like going home today and watching the movies all over again xD

Well, he hasn't even started writing RE4 yet. Yes, he said he's gonna be working on several projects, and that he's writing something right now. And after that, he's probably going to write RE4.

Well, I'm a bit of a fundamentalist when it comes to RE's storyline.
See, the one reason why I like the movies, and can enjoy the movies is because the movies aren't trying to be in the same canon as the games. So it's not like he's trying to add to the game storyline, or re-enact the game storyline. He's got his own storyline going, like an "Alternate Universe" type deal. And I'm completely fine with that.

What I'm saying is, I basically denounced the series after RE4. I gave up on it. Yes, I acknowledge the fact that CAPCOM considers RE4 canon. But I want nothing to do with it, and yes, I'm not gonna bother with RE5 either. Or any other RE game that Capcom puts out. Unless, of course, they decide to completely restart the Canon. Then I'd give it another chance.
But current canon, as far as I'm concerned, everything that happened after Code Veronica is up to my own imagination.

Serious question...but do you accept that they ARE canon and there's nothing you can do about it, but you just refuse to accept it? Or do you actually think RE4 isn't canon?

Because i mean, thinking that would make Resident Evil 5 non-canon since we've already heard Chris mentioning the Ganados in RE5.

Extinction was a good movie. I think it's the way the games should've went--post apocalyptic zombie future, I mean. Realistically speaking, T-Virus is highly infectious, interspecies virus. Spreading worldwide would've made more sense than, "Umbrella's gone out of business, and T-Virus is safely contained."

The thing I'm not liking about Degeneration is Leons attire is the same, and as noted above.
    Hunnigan, ick.
As for the live action movies, 1 was good, 2 was bad, 3 was wow, wtf?

And compared to RE4, the movies are plenty closer to what Resident Evil is really about.

But what are you saying? That every person who considers themself a Resident Evil fan has to feel exactly the same way about every RE product that comes out? Everyone MUST hate the movies and MUST like what Capcom puts out? It doesn't really work like that. I have this thing called personal opinion.

Nevertheless, just the fact that Leon will no doubt acknowledge the existence of Las Plagas, and like I said Hunnigan, and all those other things, brining up terrible memories of RE4, I will avoid Degeneration like the Plague. ... Double meaning in that.

I meant there's no mention of the plagas, but yes hunnigan is in it. As far leon, well...he's gonna scrub the virus from the face of the earth
