Keep us informed of any mis-translations you find!Originally posted by Prime Blue View PostGame's got a horrible translation that introduces several plotholes. The Japanese script, as always, is just fine.
The Wesker mistakes, for example, were made-up by translator James Wilson. He claims that Wesker became a candidate as the manager of the "Umbrella Management Training Facility", while the Japanese version says he was a candidate as an executive at the company. Or another passage, basically two completely different meanings:
How that slipped past the translation coordinator is beyond me.Code:Japanese version: He escaped the laboratory taking advantage of the chaos caused by the B.O.W.s running wild. English version: It was thought that Wesker was killed by the Tyrant, but before he died, he injected himself with the T-Virus.
That was from the CAPCOM Europe Q&A with Kawata and didn't mean a link of the two families but rather the ties of the family members (Annette and Sherry, Alexia and Alfred).

Congrats! W-What is it? * u*Originally posted by Archelon View PostThere is none. Other than the fact that they're extremely dysfunctional.
Also, just an update regarding the audio files. They apparently can only be found on Hard mode. I just found one of them in the CV scenario, and it was in an object that didn't have an Umbrella symbol on Normal. Now that I think about it, the same goes for the one in Operation: Javier.

Dailymotion seems to not mind videos been posted so maybe that is an option for anyone willing to do it, slapper12 has been posting off-screen video of it, which I will not complain about, but he seems a slight bit on the slow side to post more and considering it is at the part were they are entering the RPD station in RE2 makes the wait even harder.

I'll have to check the files again, but I don't remember any of them being dated specifically.
I found the shaky cam to be much more of an issue when I'm trying to hit really small objects in the environment than whenever I was fighting enemies or a boss. And yeah, Hard hasn't been too difficult so far. My one issue, but this would be the same on all difficulties, is that once you've upgraded your handgun enough, it's almost impossible to get headshots, because shooting an enemy in the head once will kill them, even if you don't actually blow their heads off. And blowing their heads off is what counts as a headshot, so it's been particularly difficult trying to get S ranks on the chapters.Originally posted by PracticalAl View PostSame here! I've been playing for so many hours that I have shaky cam vision even when I'm not playing.. Ugh! I noticed this time around that the breakable items are alot harder to differentiate from the non-breakable ones, like in Umbrella Chronicles.. It's quite difficult! The shaky cam doesn't help either.. I've only played a few levels on hard, and it's not too bad. A fully upgraded handgun is pretty damn useful! Mwa-ha-ha! >8DLast edited by Archelon; 11-19-2009, 02:13 PM.

If I fulfilled any extra requirements to do it, I have no idea what they are. I just beat the game and it was there.
And no, I haven't unlocked any of the audio files for CV yet. I just started playing through it on Hard yesterday, but I had to take a break, because I've been playing the game almost nonstop since Monday. XD

Do any files in Op Javier hint at a date for the incident, or is it really just 'sometime in 2002?'
In fact, are many of the new story files dated or are Capcom being their usual selves and letting us do the hard work?

Thanks alot! Ha-ha, you are a very helpful individual!
.. I beat the game but I didn't unlock it.. Strange.. I guess I will play the last chapter again, maybe? Maybe I need to beat the secret O:J scenario with Krauser.. Bah, I'll figure it out eventually. No secret scenario for CVX, huh? That sucks..
Say, have you unlocked the voice files for CV yet?

This is totally random, but speaking of CV, I really liked how they handled Alfred, personally. I really enjoyed hearing him taunt Claire and Steve over the intercom as you progressed through the stages. I mentioned this once before, but it really reminded me of The Riddler in Batman: Arkham Asylum, which is a huge plus in my book.Last edited by Archelon; 11-19-2009, 02:07 PM.

You unlock the Tofu scenario by beating the game, and there are no secret scenarios for the CVX section.
