Well, I've beaten the game, and I must say that I really liked it.

The only main issue I had with the game, is how they killed Alfred, t...that was awful O_O. I didn't like how they did Alexia in this game at all to be honest :/

I keep dying! And when it tells me to shoot the rocket launcher, the camera is so damn shaky I can't aim properly!

There is a moment when he is kneeling down for a few seconds, that's your opportunity. The camera is very annoying, but at least you get infinite rocket launcher ammo.

I am officially never ordering from the Capcom Store again. I still haven't gotten my t-shirt, and whenever I contact them about it (or someone replies to my question), they just keep giving me the runaround. That shirt is the only reason I ordered the game from the Capcom Store, too. Argh.

And on the subject of character interpretations, does anyone besides me think that Sherry still sounds and acts like she's a lot younger than 12 years old? She was the same way in the original game, but it seems much more pronounced this time around, especially when you listen to the audio files.

Capcom has always been pretty screwy with character ages, though, so I guess it's to be expected.

And I agree with Al that the music is great. I particularly love the song that plays when Chris and Claire return to where they left Steve only to find his body missing, the song that plays during the final boss battle of Operation: Javier, and Manuela's lullaby.

And another little random note regarding Sherry. In the audio file, Annette specifically tells Sherry to get the locket (the one with the G-Virus sample inside, but Annette doesn't tell Sherry that, obviously) while she's at home before heading off to the police station, but no further mention is made of the locket whatsoever or why it's so important. Not in a file, character bio, or anything. And near as I can tell, Sherry is still wearing it at the end.

Wow, really? You didn't like the original scene? I thought that cutscene was one of the most emotional scenes in the game! It gave us a glimpse that Alexia did care for Alfred just a little. He was important to her. (-But not that much. ) He was inept but loyal, as she states in one note. Other than that cutscene, there are other small hints that she does in fact care for him. I always perceived her glare as anger that he was dead, not anger at him. That's why she hunts down Steve and Claire, for revenge. Alexia doesn't care about restoring her family at all, she only cares about her own power. In the DSC version she has no reason to bring them back.. I guess, she just wants to 'play' with them for her experiments this time. (Alexia is so freaking horrible in DSC.. What a shame..)

And for anyone who cares to know, I beat the game yesterday and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! Asides from them butchering Alfred's death scene, the game is AMAZING! Especially the fully orchestrated music! *spazzes* All the extra dialogue was fantastic. Other than Alexia, I think all the characters were pretty true to themselves. I'll be replaying this one alot more than Umbrella Chronicles!

    That is all..

Haha man, they call this "Presence" =)

And I agree with you, the camera is the reason I'd rather watch playthrough videos than play it.

Looking forward to the files, it seems to be voice files in this game, I think it will be more interesting than articles only.

I've been whching some of the on justin.tv seince I have another week to wait and I doint care if I spoil the game for my self but I will say Re2 was the best the story was as close to the original as possible with acupple of changes which I was a little disopinted with but not was much as CV I kind of knew from the start the story whould be diffrent the problem with CV is it's more complex than RE2 it may not look like it but if you have played both games enough you will know what I mean by complex.

I like her attitude toward Alfred though. Here he's truly just a disposable ant soldier for her, and not a beloved brother whom she would sing lullabies.

So yesterday I've seen the ending part of Game of Oblivion (from Steve's transformation to the end) on justin.tv and one thing makes me wonder - what exactly makes the Antarctic facility to explode in Darkside Chronicles' version of CV events? In Code: Veronica Chris starts auto-destruct sequence in order to unlock doors for Claire, here however Alexia destroys the device that Chris wanted to use to destroy the place. And yet after Alexia's death the whole place starts to burn and then explode .

And now, after seeing Alexia (does she have more screen time bar her awakening and the whole end fight sequence?) I have really mixed feelings about what they've done with her in DSC. She's acting and sounds like a little brat, full of herself, but annoying as hell. She taunts Chris and Claire throughout the whole first part of the battle and dance around as if she's playing with them. Maybe that was intentional, to make her look as if she's still this 12 year-old girl, but it was weird. And I hate her new voice :|.

I like her attitude toward Alfred though. Here he's truly just a disposable ant soldier for her, and not a beloved brother whom she would sing lullabies.

Overall, from what I've seen, I'm a little dissapointed in DSC for how it rushes some scenes.
Iron's death for example - one second he's there happy and all, then he starts to vomit, and a second later a huge monster stands in front of Leon and Claire. Why did Capcom skip the whole growing process of the embryo that would only last few more seconds but would make the scene have more sense (now it seems that this huge monster was inside Brian).

The same goes for Ada's "death" where there were no romance or drama this time, Steve's mutation (I love how in CV Claire screams in terror Steve's name when he's starting to mutate) and his death (yes, I know, the CV scene was a little bit too melodramatic to the point it was somehow hilarious, but I think Claire should at least shed a tear or something) and so on. I must also admit that lots of scenes that were emotional in the original games here just don't feel right. The before mentioned Ada's and Steve's death are prime examples. I dunno, but Capcom managed to show more emotions through those low-poly characters in RE2 and CV than in those CGI cut-scenes in DSC :/
