Told ya the compression was bad then on top of that they got upscaled. Really bad looking videos, though the game itself looks top notch and much better than the other versions, well the DC version of CVX still looks great and so does the NGC version (based on the Dreamcast version).

CVX on the NGC looks much better than the PS2 port but I much prefer the look and presentation of the remastered version.

But if it the games were released on disc, MAYBE compression wouldn't be an issue. A double layer DVD can hold about 8.5gb of data, more than enough to put the games on HD.

We all knew this was going to be a quick cash in... I can't say I'm against it because I would've buy it if it was on disc.

I'll might get them, but only if I have the cash to spare.

Can't say I'm surprised that the FMV's are piss. Knew that would happen the moment they said it was for digital download.

Fucking pity, the CV opening is sublime, while the other FMV's in the game (apart from the ending) look like crap.

It was the same issue with the Splinter Cell HD Trilogy, the FMV sequences are all standard definition and they look dreadful.

Ahwell Seprate Ways Cutscenes are shit too , they didnt bother to change them , damn i wanna see ada in HD ;( , i was dreaming of modding her SW/AO costume to RE2 one , soo she shows up in cutscenes but ah well it just uses the same crappy FMVs from the Crappy PS2 ver >: (
Only thing that they did was to make her hair move , unlike the PS2/PC vers which her hair is still ....

i tried out RE4 HD at my friends house and im not satisfied with it.He has HD and it looks like crap.Im not getting CVX either because I watched a 1080p walkthough on my hd pc monitor and it looks like crap too.

Oh well,I just saved myself 40 bucks.I'll just stick to the dreamcast CV that i already own.

Depends on how addicted to them you are.

I consider myself an achievement/trophie whore. I love 'em because they gave extra replay value to the games. But some are just too darn stupid to accomplish (Quake 4 and Lost Planet 2 come to mind).

But that RE4 achievement was a no brainer. A sad list if you ask me, pretty boring. CV:X on the other hand is quite challenging.

I agree man, I know 12 trophies is usually around the norm for PSN games but those games are also pretty short most of the time. A game as long and drawn out as RE4 should have had more. After killing Mendez, it is a HOT one before you get another trophy lol.

You download the Archives via the download code posted inside oft he game case. It only works on a Japanese PSN account though.

I thought about getting CV, but I said fuck it and downloaded RE3 instead just so I won't have to take out my disc anymore lol. Now all I need is 2 and eventually CV, then I'll have director's cut, 2, 3, 4, CV and 5(if I put the disc in) on my PS3 all at once. Magnifico!
