I feel the same. It's one thing to be nostaligic....its another to use the exact same things that made the first GAME awesome and jam it into a short little SUBCHAPTER. Let's make Jill pick the lock. Ooooh just like old times! Let's have Jill play a piano! Let's have similar traps in the very first game! People will buy it...mainly because its marketing towards having Jill. I'd rather they try and at least give us something we haven't seen before. Piano puzzles, trap ceilings/floors...It seems more like a copy of the first game. I'm sure Capcom can give us some puzzles that do have some originality. Maybe.Originally posted by ChrisRedfield29 View PostI know. That's my point. Chris and Jill are all Solid Snake and stealthy trying to infiltrate this big castle, and they might as well have just rung the doorbell, wiped their feet on a doormat and walked inside screaming "HELLO?! Anyone HOME?!"
I still don't see this scenario making much sense, though. I'm all for nostalgia, trust me, and it looks cool so far, but...meh...
We all know what will be the culmination of the Estate. I'm going to be heavily disappointed if they change the fight with Wesker. For one...we've fought Wesker already in the main game. It wasn't that impressive. If they make it a quick time event, that would blow just as much...but I'll admit the idea of watching the death scenes for such events would please me if they were gruesome enough.sigpic
Are you tired, Rebecca?

How can you be that sure that the chapter will end in that scene?... I have the feeling we are going to play with Jill/Wesker after they fall... it will not be all about the Spencer Estate. We all know it's about marketing... it's Capcom guys, they sell games, we buy them or not.Originally posted by Rosetta Mist View PostI feel the same. We've seen nothing so far, we'll have to wait til another trailer comes up.

What makes you think that there are zombies if Spencer lives quietly there? Supposedly it's a refuge, not a place infected with bio-weapons.Originally posted by A-J View PostJust the fact that they DIDN'T show any enemies in the trailer makes me think it's going to be zombies, they want it to be a surprise.

I think to soon to say much, but maybe, just maybe, what Capcom wanted to do with this trailer is to create that nostalgia feel to fans... and what is better to to this than to put classic scenes from old RE games? So there's a chance that they just did this trailer the way the did to point in the right direction what this game (or extra, whatever) will be like... and almost everybody here is seeing this game closer to REmake, for exemple, than to RE5 itself.

Looks really awesome. I love the little touches, as have already been mentioned - the lockpicking, the piano theme, the cranks, the booby traps.
It may not make much sense as to why these things would appear AGAIN in the context of the real world, but these things are a throwback to the origins of this franchise.
Funny thing, considering people bitched about puzzles/traps not being featured much in RE4/5, and now that they're making an appearance again - well, the bitching has begun about why they're returning.
I'm not expecting much from this added content (though it still has me pretty damn giddy), but from the very LITTLE that has been shown or revealed thus far, I am in favor of it.
Time will tell.

Michael: well, as seen in the trailer, Spencer has lots of death traps, so why not some test subjects could be there too?
Also, AMAZING! It's definitely a huge trowback at the classic RE! The mansion, Chris and Jill, the dark atmosphere, excellent. Can't wait to get more details!

Well I hope the explain (like they did in the previous games) how the crazies got out to wonder around like the own the place.Originally posted by Big Stu View PostNo more unlikely than them being unleashed on previous mansions in the game.
Heh! I guess it has been confirmed that the way to play this games is with a wiimote/wand!
Stuff to remember: Avoid forums if you're having a bad day.

sdjklfslakfdsagjsl I have no words. I am so very stoked for this thing now. And I love all of the throwbacks, from even things like ye ol' lockpicking. <
I just oh fjksasf.
As for the controls, look very nice! I liked RE4's Wii, so I'm sure I'll enjoy this.
