Biohazard 2 Beta 1 (Very first beta)

It does seem strange, but it's not the first time Capcom have done something like that. Beta 2 had all those backgrounds from 1.5 when Capcom said that they "started from scratch" with RE2 final. Even if they didn't use most of them, they still used allot of the lab giving it just a slight graphical update.


Beta 1 is considered to be even rarer than 1.5 itself, so yeah, pretty much 'nuff said!

For all we know beta 1 is not even real. We are all assuming there is this beta 1 because we saw a bit of footage. Hell, they could of just made that footage of "beta 1" for promotional purpose and that's all there is. Considering we have not seen anything else besides the footage we have now i'm reallllllly heading in that direction. It doesn't make sense that they would release a beta with only Leon's scenario and have this other super rare beta with Claire and Leon's on it??? why release a clearly way more percent done beta with only one character accessible yet there's this other way less percent beta with both characters playable. It makes no sense.

Why would Capcom have images relating to beta 1 buried away in the PC version of Bio3? It doesn't make any sense to me, did they just import a bunch of maps including beta maps and simpy forgot to delete it? I really don't understand.

I believe it says "G Vaccine DEVIL Unprocessed". Basically the raw form of the vaccine, possibly incomplete.

EDIT: Or it could just be "G Vaccine DEVIL"...

The "unknown gun" is a SIG Sauer P228

Yup, my bad, after looking at the map i have and those maps it does lead there. I always thought it lead to some where else. Nice maps!, where did you find those ones ?

So it just leads to the evidence room? That's not very exciting! I never noticed the door was missing from the west corridor in beta 1. However that would suggest a different layout for the evidence room, which could mean an entirely different background. Also I doubt if the filing room would be complete at this point as the door to that room doesn't seem to the there in the west office photo.

You can turn the evidence room 180° degrees and the existent door would almost match the beta 1 door.
