Nice comparisons, thanks for the pics! Although that pic with the Licker isn't from beta 1 as the decapitated head isn't there and you can see the door to the evidence room in the background.

It's funny because all the time we've been callig beta 2 "beta 2," there's actually beta 1 the first (hybrid) build, beta 2 this build, beta 3 the Leon build, and beta 4 the Claire build.

Back in the day, I saw the falling head video on a French video game TV show and recorded it on my VCR. Then I took a lot of screenshots of the video and give them to a few webmasters (in 1998, there was no way I could afford to share a video online so instead, I shared screenshots of videos). Then I lost the video footage and someone created an animated gif out of my screenshots. This animated gif as been the only visual of the falling head for more than 10 years.
