well i finished the campaign ending was great lol apparently the next game is going to be set in Vietnam and made by Treyarch. Its only a rumor (not sure if its old or new to be honest so sorry if this is ancient news lol) but if its true then i cant wait also there seems to be a trend now lol if the Rmor is true then Vietnam will come out then MW3 will come out
The SAME exact thing happened with the launch of COD4 on PS3. The game worked with many connection issues for the first few nights, and then bam. The servers went down, and a patch came up the next few days. If I remember correctly, the servers were down pretty much all day on the Thursday of launch week for COD4 in 2007, and then they came back up Friday night and everyone and their mother played the hell out of the game.
I hope that's not the case this time around. I just wanna freakin' play online!
Oooooor...they just didn't expect things to be hammered in the way they have?
Its all very well saying they knew it would be big, but this game has sold DOUBLE the record holder for first day sales in the UK, that would be beyond IW's expectations, they'd have never seen a demand this huge for it.
You'd think people would be grateful for the fact that they're on the ball and working on the fix for it already.
While the servers are down I've been trying my hand at Spec Ops and the campaign on Veteran difficulty. Spec Ops is surprisingly deep and looks like it'll be a lot of fun to play co-op with another person online, and Veteran hasn't been as difficult as I expected it to be. I feel like COD4 was much more difficult.
Fucking PS3 servers are down. No one can connect to Multiplayer or Spec Ops right now. This seems to be the rule for PS3 games, though...you get what you pay for. fourzerotwo said on his Twitter page that yet ANOTHER patch(a third one) will be up by Friday. Wow.
I beat the campaign. Absolutely AWESOME. I don't know what people are talking about when they say it's bad. Farfetched and ridiculous, yes, but it was so very fun to experience. It was CHOCK FULL of so many "holy fucking SHIT" moments that my brain can't even handle it.
Spoiler:
Seriously, who the hell was expecting Shepherd to pull the gun on Roach and kill him and Ghost?! That was like...wow. Unbelievable. I was confused but his monologue near the end before the EPIC, EPIC, EPIC fight between him and Price cleared it up. I was actually kind of rooting for him after that, but I came to my senses.
A very cool ending, although I have no idea where they could go from here with the storyline. Soap and Price have to be Public Enemies #1 and 1A, unless they're able to expose what Shepherd was trying to accomplish. Either way...I'm extremely satisfied with the campaign. Fucking awesome.
And now, onto the multiplayer. I get giddy thinking about the hours I'll spend on this game. Seriously. It's as amazing as I was expecting it to be. I'm taking full advantage of all the noobs online tonight, and raping in every single game I play. Like old times. It's really freakin' awesome.
Right now, I have to say that it is a very close tie between Uncharted 2 and MW2 for my game of the year.
Wow. I just played for about 5 hours. I'm on one of the last few missions of the campaign which has NOT disappointed, contrary to what I've read here and in reviews. I think it's been pretty awesome so far, I'm just confused as to Spoiler:
why Captain Price launched the nuke? At first I thought he was firing it on Washington DC and was officially off the deep end, but then two missions later you're back controlling Roach and Price is still with you. I'm pretty confused.
Anyway, I'm up to the mission in the woods when the mines go off right at the beginning, and decided to take a break.
I played two multiplayer matches. I love the new perks and weapons. One HUGE problem, though. I killed this guy in a small room on some forest map, and he spawned DIRECTLY BEHIND ME not two seconds later and shot me in the back. I ran upstairs, knifed him, and the SAME THING happened again. They need to fix the spawn points ASAP.
Other than that, I went 46-24 in my first two games so it's definitely the same Call of Duty, but at the same time...it's not. It feels much more refined, looks MUCH better this time around. I'm gonna sink lots and lots of time into this game, just as I planned.
I'm taking a break right now and I plan to finish the campaign in about an hour or so.
Overall, this game is just as epic as I expected it to be.
