For RE characters give me Wesker or Krauser, pure badassery.
Gouken should get in too, Frank West (as in TvC) would be nice too...

I dunno that trailer was pretty nice... Can't wait for E3.

Anyone else think putting an effort into a cohesive story is a waste of time?

I say they should just go the Tatsunoko vs. Capcom route, give us endings with references both obvious and obscure to Capcom games and Marvel stories. I'd probably gush over something like that much more than a plot they tried to implement.

It seems Capcom (or Marvel) wants to go the MK vs DC route; the story mode in that game was nice and it allowed (or forced ) you to play as almost every character in the game. However, while in MK vs DC both universes were more or less coherent, here both sides will consist of lots of random characters. I really can't imagine a story involving, for example, Chris cooperating with Dante and Wolverine while they try to stop Dr. Doom from taking over the world :|.

I hope there's room for some of the under-appreciated (but slightly more suited for combat moves) characters.

these are 4 chars that should be relatively easy to adapt for combat, without really having to go way too overboard with the creativity or liberties. Of course, Capcom's got plenty of more to take from. I really hope they'll go full out on things this time around (both playable and assist, if assists are in this one).

True that Capcom have lots to choose from. They have those characters from Sengoku Basara series who have already appear in a fighting game, Okami and Viewtiful Joe. I do hope there's not a lot of SF character.

People already examined the grip of the sword the character is holding and it looks more like Rebellion more than Red Queen. So I would rather go for Dante.
