looking forward to an explosive season finale of Breaking Bad, this Sunday night..

got into the show just before season 3 began, when i caught up on every episode.. haven't missed one since.. i don't think i've ever followed a show as intently as i have this one.. season 4 seemed to fly by.. i can't believe there's only one left, and then begins the year long wait.. at least The Walking Dead returns, to ease the pain..

This could of been a series finale.. but apparently there's another season to go.. It does again show another side of Walt (poisoning the kid), so I really wonder where things will go next season. Surely the cartel will become more heavily involved now with Gus gone..

I guess something from the past may catch up with them or perhaps they'll even try to do their own operation after realizing life will be never be the same. Not sure how since they no longer have Gus for manufacturing/distribution..

Wow, what an ending. Talk about a terminator death for sure. As for what can happen in series 4, we will finally see Walt's transformation "from Mr chips to scarface" and can see the DEA/Hank Vs Walt, with that direction, if Walt starts his own operation, now the cartel and Gus are out of the picture. What an amazing ride it's been.

Now that I think about it, I think I recall talk of a planned six seasons.. if Heisenberg does come back (which would be awesome, remember that part when he first meets Tuco in his office) there should be enough to go on for two seasons.. More than enough time for Hank to find out Walter's real identity (this has to happen sooner or later).

Perhaps a series ending where Walter confesses to his crimes I don't think he will get away with it.. Or the cancer could come back (I remember they made it clear he was still not fully cured) so he adopts a don't give shit attitude once again.

I also don't think the cartel are out of the picture, if its anything like real life... when they die they're instantly replaced..

Tried watching this. Pretentious and with unlikeable characters, typical syrupy Spielberg fare. I did see Stephen Lang though so it wasn't a total waste of my time.

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! GUS! Gus was a fucking bad-ass and what a shame for him to die in such a gross way. Bad ass motherfucker to the end, sorting out his tie. I was all happy when I saw him walk out of that room, and then.. that. Walt is a bastard, poisoning children. He's gone too far and I hope he dies next season. Gus didn't do anything wrong, it was just Walt being a prick.

Just watched Breaking Bad's season finale and I actually screamed holy shit when I saw Gus' death, goddamn that was the most badass death I've seen on TV. And the ending with Walt's "I won" was perfect, fucking fantastic, best show on TV ever.

i said the same thing.. relatively every loose end was tied up.. the only exception being that Mike is, as far as we know, still lain up down south.. i suspect that next season will involve Walt making the transition to becoming the southwest's main meth supplier, with Gus out of the picture, and Mike may go to work for him..

after all this it seems Walt and especially Jesse would be hesitant about getting into anymore trouble.. but on the other hand, most of Walt's money is gone now.. sure he's got the car wash, but he just dropped 20G on Saul's assistant, for a phone number, on top of the money Skylar used to pay off Ted's debt to the IRS, and all the other misc. expenses..

i wonder if Walt and Jesse snarfed one last batch before they blew the lab.. their cooking days aren't over, i'm sure.. afterall, there's more show to come..

this also pretty much wraps up Hank's case for the time being.. everyone will assume Gus was Heisenberg, and with the laundry going up the very same day, it makes it all the more obvious that Hank was right.. only thing is it'll have to raise questions about Hectors visit with the DEA, and why he was caught in the explosion.. otherwise they'd probably chalk up Gus' death as a cartel hit..

it felt really good seeing the threat on Walt and Jesse's lives finally lifted, and for a moment, them being on the same page again, namely when they suited up, and prepared the lab for destruction..

as for Gus' death, itself, i was blown away.. when he arrived at the retirement home, i immediately knew, this was it.. it was about to happen.. it was just, in the air.. the look on his face when he realized he was about to be blown to shit was priceless.. then BOOM! when he walked out, i didn't know what was happening haha.. for a split second, i though, wtf, did he survive!? how!? then in the other half of that second, i thought i was seeing some kindof supernatural ghost scene like, he walks out, and realizes he's dead (silliness).. the nurses came up, and were like "oh my god", about the same instant that we caught the first glimpse of his mutilated face, and when i saw him, i exclaimed, "holy shit".. when he adjusted his tie, and then fell to the floor, i was in awe of the sheer badassedness of it all, as well as with the style that Gus displayed up until the very end.. to think, Walt could've shot him in the face, or Jesse could've slipped him the ricen, but instead, this.. sheer brilliance.. blew his face...... off..

i really liked Gus as a character.. but from the time i saw that scene in which Eladio/Hector iced his brother, that, in comparison to his treatment of Walt and Jesse, i knew that in some karmatic way, he had to go..

about Walt poisoning Brock.. talk about full measure.. it's morally questionable, but the fact is, he knew it wouldn't kill Brock.. and if he hadn't gotten Jesse back on his team, Gus would've killed his entire family, and eventually Jesse too.. it's much like the situation with Jane.. if she hadn't died, she and Jesse would've blown the money on dope, probably both OD'd or worse, aside from the threat of the strung out couple coming back to blackmail Walt for even more money to feed their habit..

in both situations Walt did what he had to.. the first time it wasn't even intentional.. he just happened to walk in at that particular moment, and chose not to act.. she would've died anyway.. he didn't kill her.. he just didn't save her.. and in that moment, that quick decision that he probably regrets in some measure, was altogether the best thing for himself and for Jesse.. the thing with Brock was obviously a more calculated situation.. extreme.. but Walt was out of options.. and it was indeed a brilliant plan..

all said, Jesse will surely not see it that way.. and i think that eventually, he will have to discover the truth.. and when that happens, it will likely pit him against Walt in a whole new way..

with Gus dead, and the cartel situation wrapped up (as much as it can be, anyway), the final(?) season is left open.. it's gonna be a crazy ride for sure..

that's a little unfair.. Gus' beef with Walt all started with Walt protecting Jesse afterall.. then he tried to replace Walt with Gale, and later with Jesse.. who probably would've only lasted as long as it took to find another replacement.. Gus was playing Walt from the start.. he twisted Walt's arm just to get him to cook for him in the first place (really just to get the recipe), and then all of the sudden, he's seeking every opportunity to murder him.. for defending his partner no less.. something that, as we've now seen, Gus could've sympathized with.. and if Gus had simply trusted Walt, he'd have had the expert cook he wanted.. but he was greedy..

it all comes down to Gus being a shrewd and cold hearted business man, and Walt being a survivalist.. it was either him, or Walt (and eventually Jesse, not to mention Hank, and the rest of his family).. and in the end, Walt won..

Gus was the most badass villain I have ever watched in a TV show, but Walt's brilliance beat that by miles. How can you wish Walt to die? Lol. In the end, he was ahead of EVERYONE, even us - the audience!

What a run this has been, for me the show could have ended right there, but there are still loose ends - Hank, the DEA, Mike, etc.

I just hope they don't milk the series but keep the top-notch quality in the next season. They've set the bar high this season, let's see if they can raise it in the next.

Because he's a bastard. Starts off saying all of this was for his family, but it was his own ego at the end of the day. I hate Walt now. Tricking Jesse and Gus. He was cooler when he had hair and he was running around out of that caravan in his pants shitting himself that he was about to be arrested.

You think so of Walt because you liked Gus. I liked Gus too, but Walt simply outran him in the end. Who would imagine that Gus would be outrun like that? No one but mr. White himself.

I disagree. It's much more than that now. He wasn't thinking of his family when he decided to work for Gus again in the first place when he could have gotten out, nor when he got cocky and put Hank back on the trail of "Heisenburg" again.
