Well see, it WAS a best seller for Capcom, having sold a million units ALREADY during 1.5's development, and was their best-selling PS game as well as their best-selling 3D polygon game at that point (Which they didn't make a lot of at that point). Not to mention being one of the best selling PS games overall, at least in Japan.
While I agree that perhaps RE2 had less shock value than RE1, do you really think that they wouldn't use the supposedly high violence level of 1.5, as you seem to suggest, as a selling point?
No, because Resident Evil 1.5 started production to early for the original game to have sold a million units. It was the realization of the escalating sales that made management consider the series a success after crossing the million unit mark, thereby quality control stepping in.
[s]I would most likely find them on the same site right?[/s]Never mind. I've found them on my own.
I thought I really stumbled upon something, oh well. I did manages to get the voice files by simply renaming the file extension from XAS. to XA and the XA I was using played them perfectly.

If its the marvin dialogue about having to shoot him in the head its old news.
Not for me. I've searched and checked if a thread about it existed here on THIA and on BioFlames, but no results (unless I searched it with the wrong terms). I even Google'd and YouTube'd for any such unused RE2 dialogue and such, no dice.
While small and not extraordinary, I've got other voice samples and I've been finding some more as your reading this. I'm still gonna upload the video soon, I like documenting stuff.

I didn't double post originally. Fujin posted a direct reply from a topic for whatever reason and I was simply pointed it out. It seems to have been deleted though.
EDIT: Anyways, good news! I found some unused dialogue from Resident Evil 2 in one of the demos/betas. Bad news is is that it's not from 1.5.
Expect a video about it from me soon.
Oh I see now. My bad.
What kind of dialogue? Looking forward to the video.
Why did you double post? Anyway I don't think Sherry could die in 1.5. I believe she had a similar role like in the finale game where she needed the vaccine.

There is a slight possibility that Sherry could die after all RE was not a best seller before they scrapped RE 1.5 so the graphical horror level of the game could easily have been notched up quite a bit. Look at the commercial RE2 the horror and blood is toned way down.

There's no pictures or video of Elza from the meeting of Annette to the train [nothing I've seen] to suggest that Annette doesn't join Elza in her scenerio. Leon doesn't run into her until the very end so I would guess Elza would have a similar run in. There are no child zombies, and never have been. Ever. Nor has anyone ever mentioned them actually being in the game, just mentioned that Mikami was strongly against them.
It is possible for a character to be killed off screen, but I really doubt Sherry was ever in any danger of being killed off. Forgoten forever? Sure. Just not killed. I don't remember many instances before the PS2 of a kid (not a teen) being put in any kind of real danger. Even in the game it's damned difficult (impossible? Never bothered actually trying) to have Sherry killed by zombies.
Friday the 13th NES Though that is rather different because the children do die, but its not on screen. Jason attacks a cabin and you either go to rescue the children (which look really like they are part of the wall) or leave them to suddenly dwindle down from 15 to 14. Buuuuut that doesn't really count.
And I did let a friend of mine play with Sherry, thinking along those same lines (that its pretty hard to get her killed). And it happened. I left the room for a moment, came back, and she killed Sherry. She didnt know there was an inventory with health.
