Only 2 builds have ever popped up in the wild. The Curator build (4th era) and the Final (5th) era build (Inflames' old source). The others have only ever just been seen in videos or magazines. It is doubtful copies of those still exist, but you never know. Pre-2007 I would have swore it unlikely to ever see anything but the final era beta, and then the earlier build shows up.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought there were only 2 builds "available". The old and crappy one from playstation museum, and the one detailed on bioflame, which is probably the latest build to date.

yes all have debug cause the game wasnt finish , I like the most build 3 the version that psm had cause the game looked different from RE 1 and RE2. I really hope we all at least get to play one of the builds. all other games betas are the same like final game just are incomplete but RE 1.5/RE 3.5 are so different and awesome I dont know why capcom wont release it as bonus disc or something else cause all we fans would really enjoy playing it.

Wasn't BIOHAZARD DASH going to be on Sega Saturn?

This press release seems to imply so:

    SATURN NOTE

Saturn's Resident Evil will be the Dash Version that was going to be for PSX as well. That will available in summer '97 for Saturn
Disregarding that it should say "be available" and that "PSX" is probably not in common use with companies... Where did that press release come from, anyway? It says it's for the E3, which would place it somewhere around June 1997 – but I could not find it anywhere else on the net in text form.

To channel the spirit of Alzaire, there are tons of builds. But the released images and videos show five distinctly different versions. Well, distinct to Alzaire anyway. That guy has memorized far too much information to be healthy, but he can tell you when something as small as a packet of bullets has been moved somewhere new and which version it's moved in.

It's not clear which version is out and about. It seems to be 3, but there are rumours of a more complete version being spotted occasionally two. It's certainly possible a few, even more complete versions were sent out for a closer to retail review by the magazines.

@ Carnivol: the Sega Saturn version of BH2 was advertised at the end of this video with the text "No date set yet, no price set yet" (on the last screen of the video). So when there is indeed no footage of the Saturn version, this is the official proof that the development was on its way, before Capcom cancelled the whole thing

^ I think you confused it with the V-Jump footage.

One video shows a Saturn logo at the end of the Biohazard 1.5 footage, but it might just be there as Biohazard 1 was being made available on Saturn at the time (it's the video that opens with the BH1 footage, if memory serves me right).

As for a Resident Evil game being handed out at E3 1997? Probably Resident Evil 1's PC port. It came out in late '97 in the west.

A RP boxart for the saturn version was released apart from that nothing.

Well, for $10 you can afford to find out. But it's unlikely it was 1.5, since the PS1 version wasn't finished.

No version was handed out at E3 as I understand it, but the game was there and playable. There was a version sent out to Japanese gaming magazines, I understand, which is where most the leaked copies we see come from.

...at least, I think so. Kinda doped up right now so I may be horribly, horribly wrong.

I know these questions were probably asked about a million times but...

Was 1.5 ever leaked to members of the press at E3 1997? I was there this year (2010) but I didn't even think of asking anyone around. I asked one person, which brings me to my second question.

This person whom I asked claims that Capcom handed out copies of a Resident Evil game in 1997, but he told me it was on the PC. I guess he's referring to the Biohazard Trial Edition? He said he would sell me a copy for only $10 bucks. Unless there's infact a PC edition of 1.5 that we do not know about, but who knows?

The Saturn version/port was barely begun around the end of 1.5's development and scrapped before it really got that far off the ground. There are no Saturn version trailers or anything. It probably wasn't even that playable before it was canned.

No. I don't know how much evidence beyond developer comments there are to even support it's exsitence.
