I'd prefer there to be a record as to why someone was banned. But silly, off-topic posts like the last few are just unnecessary and should be discouraged.

So again, only post in this when you want to know why a user was banned, or any matters relating to a ban.

when you get banned can you still view the forum?

AFAIK, that depends. If your IP was banned you can view the forum home, but you can't access or discuss in any forum. If your Account was banned, you can view all forums but you can't log to participate from that account. Am I wrong? I'm not too sure.
