It used to have a heavy emphasis of horror, its emphasis on horror isnt that strong anymore and its on its way to becoming an outright shooter with some horror elements.

No. Despite the hyperbole people like to throw around, the series still has heavy emphasis on horror and is not an outright shooter, although it does have many action elements. Gears of War and Unreal are unadulterated, pure shooters.

Give CliffyB an Operation Raccoon City type game and see how he handles one of those, but he needs to stay out of the main series until he's actually proven he can contribute anything worth dick.

    F Yeah

RE 6 has ruined TPS for me. Now I want every TPS to have sliding, rolling, a melee system and counter attacks.

I'd laugh, but you cant compare RE6 to the Avengers.

You don't do any of that in Gears of War, and somersaulting (you don't do this) and rolling are not characteristics of a cover shooter. You sit behind something. BH6 is not meant to be played that way, which is one reason why the cover system is complete dick. It was shoe-horned in to appeal to the people that like sitting behind stuff.

I'm not entirely certain I would call CliffyB a "visionary," necessarily, but I think he definitely has the gumption to tell Capcom that it desperately needs to narrow its focus for the next title instead of trying to be a jack of all trades, master of none in the hopes of appealing to everyone under the sun. I know Resident Evil 4 isn't very popular around here, but at least it knew what it was, and even if, for the sake of argument, it only did one or two things, it did them better than anyone else.
Pretty much mirrors my exact thoughts. After RE6, I'd be willing to give Cliffy B a chance anyway.

Go nuts, CliffyB. Add Alice from the movies too.

    She fits right in anyway...
