It's funny because at this point, all I want is the background images from the final build and then I'd leave the community in peace. I hate lowering my standards... :-(

You only need to press L1+R2 to disable background switching.

Pressing all four shoulder buttons ( L1, L2, R1, R2) sets cut mode to manual (the switching of backgrounds), like in the Biohazard 1 Beta. Pressing all four again disables it.

Looks like the area it got replaced with eventually became the flood tunnel connected to the L Corridor:

If you go by the "green" areas on the disk and the ones we see in era 2 media, it seems like they progressed quite some ways in developing the "green" sewer network done before they decided to scrap it in favor of the era 4/5 sewers.

EDIT: Messed the outline up. The invisible door is actually on the other side of the tunnel.
It seems like more and more evidence is piling up in favor of those areas not featured on the Drains B2 map being scrapped.

Probably a bug or something, but when you click "use" on the Nut item, assuming you are in fine State, it causes you to go into Caution. I haven't tested with Danger, etc yet.

Also pressing start+select at the same time opens the control config menu.

e: My status is now a Crow, awesome.

These are all points that I wanted to make too, but I was beaten to it! :-P

    Also regarding these:
