I'm not completely sure, but don't some built-in emulator recorders record the frames and speed it up to 100% instead of recording what's just being shown on-screen? I remember PCSX2 has this sort of feature (slow-mo in real-time, full speed in the recording), but I'm not sure if it also applies to this private version of PSX. Maybe Gemini can enlighten us.

I guess the theory is that if your computer sucks, recording straight from the emulator will run it fast and smooth.

I don't see the use of the built in recorder either. I use Fraps for recording anything else and have no lag.

Why would the emulator itself need a built in recorder? Why not use Fraps, or DXTory, or something with options? I could record just about anything with no lag if I wanted to.

Stolen how though? do you have 100 percent solid proof that it was stolen? even if Marvin did get it, he got it from Colvin (how do you know colvin didn't offer it to him? )..... Which he got it from the team, therefore it's not stolen. You also don't even have proof that he has the damn emulator, the only thing your going by is "HIS VIDEOS HAVE NO LAG OMG OMG" that's not proof man, not proof in any way, shape or form.... Not trying to start an argument but your accusations are ridiculous at best with no SOLID evidence to back it.

It could be Marvin bought a new PC? I remember him saying his videos lagged because his PC was old. But yeah Gemini is making accusations based on nothing. It's a rather pointless argument really. I bet you it's just a new PC or he changed the way he recorded stuff.

Sorry, but I don't see the big deal about this whole emulation business. I mean, he's not doing any harm, is he? In fact, he's actually helping US out by sharing videos about his discoveries in 1.5. Also, it's very ironic to be complaining about something being leaked without permission when this entire discussion is about a video game that was not supposed to see the light of day. Just my two cents.

It' honestly seems like he's upset because Marvin got access to something that Gem felt only certain people should have. He really has no proof that he even has it (saying "his videos have no lag now!" is no proof whats-so-ever), there are a ton of programs out there that record without lag you can find on the internet for free...... It's all accusations and assumptions. I like gem but there's no proof, Marvin now recording without lag means nothing, it doesn't mean or indicate he has this 1.14 emulator and even if he did, good, he's doing amazing work with it.

I still don't get the no-lag... I can play epsxe with FRAPS and have ZERO lag, only with the Chief Iron's room... You guys are assuming he's using psx 1.14 simply because his older videos lagged and his new ones don't ? I can see what you guys mean, but who cares... Why not just make a new thread or PM him like someone else pointed out. It's not bothering anyone, it just seems like people are mad that he has a WIP emulator that was supposed to be rare and private to a select few... Just like we all wanted RE 1.5 to be released, how can you get mad that he got a hold of a WIP emulator by whatever means ??? ( if he does have it ). Just let him be... At least he's using it to help show new videos to us unlike some peopel here who have it and keep it for themselves...

This is the thing, people who had this "rare emulator" are butt hurt because another good hacker got it and is doing amazing work with it, that's all it is. I'v learned through out the years of going to different R.E. forums that hackers are dicks together (someone puts out better work then what they're putting out, the hate will coming flowing in) if they are not working together. Marvin is putting out some of the best work i'v seen from any R.E. hacker and i was just waiting for another person to be butt hurt about it. This shit is getting yawn as fuck already. Anyone arguing over stupid shit, take that lil butt hurt argument to a private message, Marvin please keep up the amazing work; the rest of us are waiting for me.

Anyone feel like this scene may have been orginally a 1.5 FMV? The cop looks exactly like Irons but with different clothes and it would explain what a helicopter is doing above the R.P.D. in the first place. In the original scene it may have been Irons on the helipad trying to get help and it then ends up crashing which would explain Leon's "Now what am I going to do?" line.

Everything is possible. but in gamecube version of RE2 this dude looks like he has no right arm. i swear.

I can record full screen games on the pcsx2 with DX10 and all upgraded options on. You could've simply suggested I try out Dxtory. Sheesh!
