There's nothing worse than that damn snow level. And it is the worse thing ever. You can't see shit and the map barely helps. And the part where you slide down if you try to evade gunfire... fuck that shit.

The China part plays out like a Jackie Chan movie. Lots of ridikulas stuff happening all the time. I liked the puzzles though.

Agreed. I never would have thought this before playing the game (it looked like the weakest), but after playing it became evident that this campaign had the least amount of QTEs/scripted events and the largest amount of actual fun gameplay. There were a few moments I disliked, such as...

    Spoiler:

But that's literally it; everything else about this campaign was gold. The lack of boring QTEs and scripted events really shined here. My favorite chapter was 2, in the Edonian town. I loved the setting here, as well as in Jake's first chapter.

Overall, I can't decide if Jake's or Ada's scenario was the weakest. Ada's felt so tacked-on, and aside from a few fun sections, was mostly boring.

I love Ada's campaign...probably my favorite runner up to Sherry & Jake's. Their campaign brought me joy and brought me long awaited answers to questions I had about Sherry <3

I was playing co-op last night with a friend and I completely forgot about the cross over sections. Him and I got to a part with Chris, Piers, Sherry, and Jake and I was quite surprised to see both Sherry and Jake being controlled by someone else. I thought it was pretty neat anyway.

I beat Leon and Chris's campaigns so far. I enjoyed both quite a lot except for a select few sections. I'm doing Jakes now. So far, I'm not minding it. It's probably the worst of the 3 but some of the complaints I've heard made it sound like it was the worst thing ever. I just started chapter 3 though, so maybe it'll get worse?

Yes, it is my opinion, and my opinion is that the game isn't very good for the reasons I posted above, and many more. You can make a game where you mash A to sip cups of water and the longer you take to drink the glass the more points you get. Simply stating "that's the way the game was intended to be" doesn't change the fact that the game isn't very fun and bores the living day lights out of you. If that's the way they designed the game then that's a flaw of design, I can name numerous things that would have made the experience more enjoyable, both from a design point and a technical point. If you disagree then that's fair enough.

    Ummm...

like poor and forgettable stage design, rampant AI, lack or puzzles, lack of items or points to investigate, non stop machine gun action (literally, it never stops), annoying music, complete lack of horror, the list goes on. The stages are so boring, you just run and shoot, run and shoot, there's nothing else to describe it.
You do realize that this was intentional. It's not "flaws on the design", they intented to be like that, like RE5, "fridge horror" y'know.

I haven't seen any complaints about the AI tbh

I think Chris's scenario is kind of a 50/50 thing for me. Some stuff in there really pissed me off while others where very enjoyable. The final boss showdown was crap IMO and so was that whole stage. It seems like some of the stuff in his campaign was lifted from the Uncharted series..

    Spoiler:

Leon's was my favorite, excluding the 5th chapter. The 5th chapter to me was a mess. I didn't have that many negative points on Leon's campaign as it met and exceeded my expectations. If a new Zombie driven RE where to come out, this would be it. I think the diving, rolling, and crouching controls work best for his campaign.

As for Jake's campaign, I have not played it yet. I hated it in the demo, so I'll probably still hate it..

    Oh and about Leon's campaign:

Right now after playing Chris' scenario I wouldn't give this game any more than a 6. There's just too many negative points outweighing the positive points, like poor and forgettable stage design, rampant AI, lack or puzzles, lack of items or points to investigate, non stop machine gun action (literally, it never stops), annoying music, complete lack of horror, the list goes on. His scenario was literally painful to sit through and I still haven't finished, I spent most of my time just wanting each chapter to end and finding that I still had more and more to do. The stages are so boring, you just run and shoot, run and shoot, there's nothing else to describe it. It literally had nothing to do with RE besides the characters and storyline, which could have been written on a piece of toilet paper for all I care.

I played this scenario first because I knew from the demo that it was going to be the worst, so I still have Leon and Jake to do, at which point I might have other things to say. But that in its self is a negative point, splitting the game up into three scenarios while nice nostalgically is just laziness. The fact of me getting annoyed at one scenario and having no other choice but to play another to get the experience I want is just bad game design, and emphasises all the flaws above. Good game design would be to have three scenarios all well balanced to the point where I enjoy all of them equally, however unfortunately that is not the case, extremes we're met in this regard.

The game just lacks substance, it's boring to play through and fails on so many technical points.

I think it only carries over if you play as the same character you used the first time around. Items carry over though, I think.
