Regarding Revelations, I'd rather see it ported to a big boy system than yet another handheld one (Vita). No matter how many gimmicks the portable systems have, nothing compares to playing a game on a big TV screen. Just my opinion.

Am I missing any data you have listing Revelations sales? It could be undertracked, but is no evidence of it I can find.
We're all missing data when it comes to Revelations. That's why the argument can be made that it has also be under-tracked. Even the guys at Joystiq couldn't piece it together.

But, again my point was and is that Rev would've easily sold more than a million if it had come out for Vita as well. I believe so.

Yeah I get the difference between shipments and sell through, but the fact Capcom shipped 400k more copies of ORC when VGC doesn't even have the initial shipment exceeded is clear evidence that VGC is doing a shit job of tracking ORC sales.

In any case, VGChartz has also under-tracked Revelations. So we could say the same thing about those numbers as well.

Its no different from the ridiculous bullshit we get from NPD.

NPD inflates the numbers by bundling the sales numbers a game gets on all platforms. For instance, if a game that came out for home platforms also came out for the DS, they will include those sales numbers even if the damn handheld game is completely different and was made by a different dev.

Or would you rather believe the bullshit coming from some Press Release that most often than not, spins things?

You're talking about shipment numbers. While VGChartz tracks RETAIL SALES numbers. Its obviously not the same thing.

I mentioned on another topic the example of Max Payne 3. That game shipped 3 million units, but Take Two later admitted that the game didn't actually sell that many units at retail. And it underperformed way below their expectations.

In any case, VGChartz has also under-tracked Revelations. So we could say the same thing about those numbers as well. For instance, due to the recent price-cut, Revelations has been in the top 10 best selling 3DS items on amazon quite recently. So it still has its sexy legs.

But anyway, my point is this: Revelations would've easily sold beyond the million mark if it had come out for Vita and 3DS. Of that there is no doubt in my mind.

Yep. And I hope that Revelations doesn't stay exclusive to the 3DS as long as the remake and Zero have on Nintendo consoles (10 freakin' years).

Capcom can still bring that game to PSN and XBLA and even Wii U's eShop in the near future. They could do that before the rumored sequel comes into the scene.

But the PS3's sales helped that title be a success. This when they bundle their sales numbers together.
ORC originally shipped 1.7m units between 360 and PS3, since then it has shipped abother 400k brining the total to 2.1m. One of them broke the million number, most likely PS3 due to Japan. If ORC was a 360 only game it would have sold more than it has also, you're forgetting spillover from PS3 buyers, a lot of people if could not buy on PS3 would have gone to 360 instead to buy it.

Where are you pulling those numbers from? VGChartz? It can be useful sometimes but in ORC case definitely not, its numbers do not match official shipping numbers at all. Is no way Capcom would have shipped another 400k if the 1.7m did not sell through like VGC numbers suggest, which has the total at 1.56m, not even meeting the 1.7m. Clearly undertracked heavily by VGC.

Wait for the WiiU eShop port.

(Also; I'm perfectly fine with having Revelations on the 3DS ... 'cause, like, I have a 3DS ... it has good games ... and it plays my good DS games too)

There is a petition to get a RE game on Vita. This was done because the director of RE6 said that if fans wanted that, it could happen.

Those guys should really try and have Capcom port Revelations to Vita. They should do that first. Because if they ask for a new game... pfft... it would take ages and by then the Vita could go under and it would probably not be a relevant option for such a new game.

Revelations should've been a 3DS and a Vita game. If the game had come out for both handhelds, its sales numbers would've proven that gamers do in fact want a more traditional RE game. Because by bundling the sales numbers, Rev sales would've matched those of ORC.

I think Capcom dropped the ball there. But its too late now... as it is, Capcom believes that no one wants a more traditional-like RE game but instead want something like ORC.

I just got the game yesterday. Strangely enough, I started out with Jake. Enjoyed his first chapter, and can't wait to play the rest.

I'm saving Leon's for when my boyfriend comes over this Sunday, lol.
